" No, not at all. We never told you this, but on your 18th birthday, you will be married to prince Jarred. I hear he is the sweetest, kindest, and proper prince around! Wouldn't that be nice!" Mom says enthusiastically.
" I have to be married too!! I am 17 mom. I can make my own choices. I don't need ANYONE telling me what to do, who to marry, what to wear, or where to live. Just stay out of my life!" I yell running out of the office and down the hallway. I run into theater arts and grab Jenna.
"Woah! What the..."she says as I pull her from her hoodie and pull her out of the class room.
I close the door behind us and pull her by her arm down the hall and into the girls bathroom.
The tears I have been holding back fall on my face. " Lilly, what's wrong!" Jenna says.
I sniffle and reply " My mmmy pppppparents are mmmmm making meeee moooove to anoooooooother country-ry-ry." I say barely able to speak.
" WHAT!?!?!?" She yells." You are moving!!!" She says her eyes wide.
I nod putting my head on her shoulder, bawling. She pulls me into a hug comforting me.
" aand worst of aaall... I have to mmmmmary someone on mmmmy birthday. Annnd I don't get to pick whoooooooo." I say.
" That is horrible! Why do you have to do that anyway?" She asks.
" Apparently I am some princess! I mean, I am a country girl not a princess! I am only going, if you and my horses and other animals come with me." I say not crying anymore, but still furious.
" Deal! My parents wanted to move anyway, so yay! I am best friends with a princess. Wait.... you are a princess!!!!!! Wow that took me a moment to realize what you said! A princess! An actual princess!!!!" She says her eyes getting bigger as she speaks.
" Haha yes, a real princess. And are your sure you would like to move? I mean, your boyfriend and all....." I say.
" He broke up with me while you were in the office" she replies quietly.
" Oh, Jenna.... I'm Sooo sorry!" I say hugging her.
" Yeah, it's ok. He was starting to be rude to me anyway. I was going to break up with him tomorrow, but.... guess I don't have to now," she says giving me a smile.
" Let's go tell my parents I am ok to moving. AS LONG as my horses can come" I say smiling as we walk out together.
