Suddenly Royal

Some guards smile

After a few days of staying in my room, with many visits from Killian and Jenna, today I am allowed to go and walk around the castle. I had no visits from Jarred, which shows how concerned he is about me.
I walk to the front of the castle and see my idiotic brother flirting with two girls. I would go over and warn the girls he is an annoying brat, but I decided against it when I saw Jenna hiding behind a wall looking at something.
                 I sneak up behind her and look at what she is looking at. I laugh when I see two cute guards talking in the hallway. Jenna gives me a dirty look and pulls me behind the wall." Shh! Do you want them to know we're here?!?"
             "I think the real question here, is what are you doing?" I laugh.
             She rolls her eyes," They're cute, I'm single. Get it now?"
            " Then go talk to them!" I say pushing her out from behind the wall and into the hallway.
          As I push her, she trips over her feet and falls dramatically. The two guards look over to see what the noise was. I giggle as Jenna's face turns bright red. One guard walks over and helps her up.
        " Are you ok?" He asks her.
        " Yes, I think. Sorry, my friend Lilly pushed me. " she says pointing to the wall where I am. I try to hide behind the wall, but I'm too slow. The guard looks at me and laughs.
        I guess not all guards never smile!
   I walk back to my room, to let Jenna talk to the guard.
          On my way to my room, I run into Killian.... Literally. "I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention!" I say as I run right into him.
           "No, it was my fault, I'm so sorry," he says. I laugh at the panicked look on his face.
         "It's ok. We keep running into each other, don't we," I say with a laugh.
        He laughs and I look into his eyes. He smiles at me, and I return a smile.
       Our little moment was ruined when Prince Jarred came into the hallway.
      " What are you doing here, stable boy? Go back to the stables. " Jarred says to Killian.
        " His name is Killian, and we were talking. Why don't you leave?" I snap at him.
        " Excuse me?" Jarred says.
        " Yeah, you heard me. Leave." I say rolling my eyes.
       " It's ok Lilly, I'll go," Killian says, rushing off.
      " Killian-" I call after him, but he doesn't turn around.
