"Brody, No." I say grabbing his arm and pushing him back. He sits on the edge of the tub and looks down.

"I am not just gunna let you get beaten and bruised by that..." He trails off looking up at me.

"Brody." I say running my fingers through his hair. "Look at me." He looks up and I see tears in his eyes. A single tear trails down his cheek and I wipe it away. "I'm okay." I pause, "It hurts, but I'm okay. I promise"

"Emersyn!" Brody yells standing up, " You have bruises all over your face! You're not okay! How can you possibly be okay?"

"I don't know. Because It's not the first time." I whisper.

"Not the first time?" Brody asks appalled clenching and unclenching his fists. I look down at my feet and take a step away. I start to turn to walk away when Brody grabs my arm and pulls me back. "I will be damned if he puts his hands on you again." Brody says starting to stalk out of the bathroom.

"BRODY NATHANIEL JAMESON!!" I yell knowing the full use of his name is the fastest way to get his attention. He stops and turns around.

"Do. Not. Use. My. Full. Name."

"Brody Nathan-" I start to say but he cuts me off.

"I said don't use my full name." He hisses stepping closer to me

. "Or what, Nathaniel?" I smirk. He steps even closer to me.

"I'll make you pay, Emersyn." He says and I know he's getting angry or rather angrier because he's used my first name.

"Doesn't bother me." I say walking out of the bathroom. I walk back into my closet to get my Pajamas. I don't hear Brody behind me so I take my shirt off and walk over to my bra and panty dresser. I start unhooking my bra when I hear Brody clear his throat.

"Do you mind?" I ask.

"Well it's not like I haven't seen you naked before." He says. I grab a sports bra and turn to face the back of my closet. I can feel the tension building up between us as I finish unhooking the back, there's no way I could possibly deny the attraction I have for him. And I know he can't deny the attraction he has for me, although if anyone asked he probably would. Well he denies to everyone except Brandon. Brandon is my best and only friend. He intimidates everyone except me and seems like the scariest person ever. In seventh grade he got expelled for buring a kid with a cigarette. I died of laughter when he told me the story of why he'd switched to our school with two days before winter break. I try to keep Keith's abuse a secret from Brandon because he'd probably kill him faster than Brody could blink. Aside from one slip up and him seeing me have to leave school early to get to the hospital I am somewhat successful. I don't hear Brody approach me and jump when I feel his hands on my skin.

"Brody Nathaniel Jameson!" I yell not caring about his warning about making me pay. He grabs my sports bra and somehow gets the bra I wore for work off of me. I start to turn around but than stop realizing what he's doing. I cover myself with my hands and walk back over to my dresser. Brody laughs and somehow manages to step in front of me, blocking me from getting to the dresser.

"Brody Nathaniel Jameson." I glare. He glares back and throws my bras across the room. He starts walking towards me causing me to back up until my back is against the same pillar Keith had backed me into earlier. He puts a hand on either side of my head.

" I told you not to use my full name."

"Yeah, and I did. What are you gunna do about it, Nathaniel?" I challenge stepping forward

. "Oh I'm gunna use your weaknesses against you." He says stepping forward closing the distance between us.

"Really? And what would those be?" I ask. He doesn't answer he just smiles before he starts tickling me.

"Nooooo!" I scream trying to grab his hands as we crash to the ground. For a moment we're seperated and I start crawling out of the closet only for him to grab my foot and pull me back. He starts tickling me again causing me to scream. I kick and fight trying to get away from him. I continue kicking and fighting until he has my arms pinned above my head. He looks at my bare chest for a second causing me to blush and than meets my eyes. He leans down and presses his lips to my neck causing me to tremble. He trails kisses along my shoulder and back to the nape of my neck. He meets my eyes before gently pressing his lips to mine. Slowly the kiss starts to become more and more hungry. Brody sits up as he rips his sweater off and starts to take his shirt off. He leans back down and I feel the smoothness of his stomach pressing against mine. He leans in closing the space and presses his lips back to mine. I feel his hand on my chest and snap my eyes back open.

"No." I say pushing him away, "We can't do this."
