The stores rafters were cold to the touch, but the short, hazel haired female sprawled out across them. She had her sniper rifle lined up with a small, home-made bomb that was dropped in to the middle of most populated part of the space. There was one reason, and only one reason for Kenzie to risk her life in this death trap of a store. Her friend was sick and needed more food to survive this 'hell' of a world. Kenzie's only friend was a small, well trained ferret named Quin.
Kenzie adjusted her aim, "Let's hope I don't miss." She heavily breathed in the smell of death and pulled the trigger. A loud boom rang through the store, as Kenzie jumped from the rafters to a shelf. She stuffed her backpack with food and medicine for her and Quin. Kenzie pulled out a red-stained spear like ax from one of the many sword sheaths on her back. "Quin come on it's time to go. Stay alert. Front door now!" Kenzie called out into the store knowing that she had to keep commands simple.
Once Kenzie fought her way to the front of the Walmart, dropping anything in her path, She collected the small white creature from the floor and placed him on her shoulder. "We'll be home soon bud. I'll hurry." Kenzie said trying to comfort the small anorexic looking ferret.
Before Kenzie even thought of leaving the store, she put the ax away and pulled out two medival looking swords. 'This is the best part of making your own weapons' Kenzie thought as she exited the blasted and bloodied Walmart.
When Kenzie walked out side, she was greeted with a nice, chilled breeze, but something felt off. She felt like someone was watching her. "I know your out there, come and get me if you would like. You will most likely get your ass handed to you, but you can at least try." Kenzie spoke out sarcastically, expecting a walker at any moment. Then she herd faint foot steps. "If you won't come to me, then I'll come to you." She said louder as she walked closer to the sound.
