We loaded up all the merc gear and the AN-94s into the Hummer the next morning.
"Drew, Morgan, Kam, I want you guys to stay here and keep an eye on the camp. Use the M-60E1s if you have to. Keep each other and our home safe."
"Be careful, we need you guys back here alive." Said Drew.
Zig walked up to Kam and gave her a hug and a kiss. "Don't worry. We'll be back, I promise."
"You better, mister." Said Kam, a tear in her eye.
We loaded up and headed towards the air base.
Cody popped a CD into the radio, and turned up the volume. Remember the Name by Fort Minor blasted through the radio as we rode down the road.
"This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill, and fifteen percent concentrated power of will. Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain, and a hundred percent reason to remember the name!"
We sang in harmony, getting ready for the upcoming mission.
We get to the air base to find a helicopter sitting on a pad just north of the main office building.
"Glad to see you could make it gentlemen. So, here's the plan. Cody, Bob, you're gonna go with Griffin and Esposito in the helicopter. Williams, McLaughlin, Ryan, and I are gonna suit up in the merc gear and drive the Hummer to the base. As soon as we have access to the bunker, we're gonna radio to you guys to land on a field in the base with our regular gear and weapons. From there we sweep and clear until we've taken out ever single one of those bastards. Everyone clear?" I said, explaining the op.
"Williams, you and your boys good with that?" I asked.
"Your op, your call." He said smiling back as he put his hand on my shoulder.
The ride to Camp Shelby was long and gruesome. We had to kill a good bit of rotters on the way down and it kinda stained the black Hummer.
We stopped outside the gate at a gas station to suit up. I put on Jason Hardy's old uniform and synched up my vest. We all wore face masks and sunglasses as not to reveal our faces.
We pulled up to what looked like a barracks building and got out of the Hummer. There were three guards standing by the fence and two standing by the door.
We still had the suppressors attached to the AN-94s so when we went to take out the guards, it would be silent. We approached the gate on foot and the guards looked at our patches and let us through to the door.
"Authentication code." Said the rather large African-American man beside the door.
"Kingpin." Said Williams. Access granted. The man swiped his key card and opened the door.
"Thanks man." Said Williams.
That was the signal.
We spun around and took out the three guards by the gate.
McLaughlin fought hand to hand with the larger guard and broke two bones in his leg before stabbing him in the heart.
Williams had just finished breaking the neck of the other when I radioed to Bob to land.
We met them and got out of the merc gear and threw the rifles in the helicopter. I put my tan plate carrier vest on and pulled my red beret down on my head.
Bob tightened his bandana and checked the mag in THE PLEASURE. I threw the sling of Black Mamba on my shoulder and put dads .45 on my hip. Zig grabbed his Katana and Uzi, with Cody hopping off the helicopter with an M-60 in his hands, a vest full of grenades and two bandoliers of M-60 ammo belts.
We rushed to the open door and before we went inside, I grabbed the key card from the dead guard.
We walked into the building to find a staircase that lead down to a basement area. We walked down to find a long corridor with what looked like a giant titanium door.
The door had a card reader on the wall. I swiped the card and the alarm went off, sounding that the door was moving. The door slowly swung open and it revealed a massive ladder that lead straight down.
I was the first to go down with Williams behind me. We landed on the sub basement level and saw another long corridor, but this one had rooms on both sides.
All the doors were locked except for the last door. I slowly cracked it open and saw a giant warehouse filled with at least a hundred men.
There was what looked to be an office on a balcony on the other side of the warehouse.
"Fifty plus foot mobiles, armed. I can make a bet that the office on the other side of the warehouse is where the boss man is hiding." I said.
"Okay, so we can used flash bangs and grenades as soon as we breach." Said McLaughlin.
We all stacked up, ready for a fight.
"Three. Two. One. Breach!" I yelled.
I kicked the door open and flash bangs and grenades flew over my head. We covered our eyes and pressed forward.
Explosions and flashes rattled the interior of the warehouse. We all took up positions behind crates, dropping the closest mercs while the ones in the rear were still dazed. I found a good spot to snipe and Cody set up the M-60 on the opposite side on top of a few low crates.
He hammered down on the enemy, dropping the closest ones while I took out the farther ones.
Zig, Bob, Williams, and McLaughlin started to clear out the lanes in-between shelves and crates while Griffin and Esposito stayed back to cover Cody and I.
When the others had made it about half way she spoke.
Stop your men before they get to the mines.
"Hold it hold it hold it guys! Don't move any further, I can see mines from here. Two clamors on the left and three on the right." I said over the radio.
"Williams, those mines are laser tripped so, if we can fry out the circuitry we can make it past them." Said Griffin.
"I've got just the thing." Said Williams.
The other boys take cover behind some crates and keep returning fire at the mercs. Williams pulls out a small blue pill shaped device with a grenade pin.
"EMP, blast radius of about five feet. Should take care of those little bastards." Said Williams as he pulled the pin, cooked the EMP grenade, and tossed it.
All of a sudden, as soon as the grenade goes off, the lights go out and the place turns completely dark.
