I giggled as I hugged her. It's good to have a friend that I just met like her. Unlike those school kids where they will start to bully you when you first enter shool. I wiped away your tears from my eyes. Alyia gasped.

"What?" I asked.

I realised that the sleeve of my sweater slipped, showing my scars.

"Shit," I whispered.

Alyia take my arm and examined those scars.

Alyia's POV

"Oh God..." I thought.

I examined her scars one by one. Bruises were formed beside each scars. The pain must be unbearable. I could see her face. She has a future, a dream to chase after. But it's fading.

Xylia started to cry softly.

"Xylia...Please stop. You have a future, don't you ever give up in your life and dream. This wouldn't solve the problem. This scars will leave a bruise and pain back to your memory. This may be disturbing and triggering, but it shows that you are getting stronger day by day. The strength was build up by the pain and unsuccessful attempt by your memories and that you have to live up your life. Move on. Don't stop believing in yourself. Coz you need that the most when it comes to you," I told her.

Tears started to form at my eyes, remembering the pain. I let her cry on my shoulder as I wiped away my tears. I don't want her to go through what my sister have been.

"I have a sister, I used to. She has hope too like you. She lost all her hope just because of her boyfriend. He died because of tumour. He meant the world to her. They're about to get married too. When my sister
found out about his tumour, she decided to spent those last few moments with him. My sister had been a wreck ever since he left. She cried non-stop. She was depressed with the lost of him. Eventually she ended her life...just to reunite with her boyfriend. She wrote a note to me. She said that the pain being without him was unbearable. When I read the note, I was shocked. She was carrying hers and her boyfriend's child. 2 months and 3 weeks," I said.

"I'm sorry..." Xylia said.

"Nah...it's 2 years ago," I smiled.

Xylia nodded as she looked down on her lap quietly.

"So...what you do for a living?" she asked.

"I'm actually still studying, but since it's my break I went and visit my grandparents," I said.

She nodded her head, a sign of understanding.
