Axel flew into the hole anyway, screamed afterwards. Of course it caused Saix to come running after him. He popped into it and shook his head wildly, looking at what seemed to be Xemnas.
"Y-You're not supposed to be here... You said you couldn't make it through!" Saix in astonishment.
"Wow- did I really?" the Xemnas said with a chuckle.
"You c-can't be real... I know you're not." Saix said to himself in an assuring voice.
"Hmm- you could be right. They have messed with your Somebody's memories in the dark. Maybe I'm just part of the tension, a segment of what's not reality. I could just be another one of those weird thoughts you're having. Maybe I'm not all that real- or maybe I am. I could be just as realistic as you are right now. With your lack of a heart and everything." The "figment" of Saix's imagination said.
Between the moment of reality and realistic distractions of decoys, a wary cry was heard. Saix looked over at Axel being held down by some type of vines. He saw the cuts all over his face and arms and how he looked like he had been poisoned by them.
"A-Axel?" he finally said with some sort of caring.
But Axel was too busy trying to get loose to notice that he was being called.
"You better let him go Xemnas! Let him go right now!" Saix said with an undefined feeling of anger.
"Heh- when will you learn? I might be Xemnas but I might not be. You still don't get it... Just like everything else... You never understand it. Or should I say more like everyone else, you're just another person searching for answers to a question that has no meaning." the thing said approaching Saix.
But Saix kept a distance in his stance of denial and confusion. He kept an eye out for Axel but even that did little to help. The Xemnas attacked him with vines and poison barbs, it seemed like he had distracted him enough to make his move. As the distraction sat there choking the life from Axel and Saix with a small smile, he started to pull them along behind him.
-Meanwhile-
"I don't know why Axel's been gone so long." Roxas said to Xion looking around Halloween town.
"I know- I figured that he would be back from whatever you said he had left to do... We could've really used him on today's mission." Xion said with a tiny look of being upset.
"Exactly, he loves missions like this. Fire magic is his favorite and if I see one more ice heartless I think I'll be sick." Roxas said sounding dismal.
Xion giggled at his remark but he looked at her with surprise.
"I really meant it..." he said sneezing, "I think all this ice is giving me a cold."
Xion looked at him a little more serious and told him "bless you".
He nodded and shivered quietly. Another ice heartless popped up and merged with other ones. As soon as the giant one formed, a huge fire storm crushed it.
"Axel!?" Roxas and Xion screamed out waiting on some red hair to come out of the crowd of flames.
But it wasn't their friend who submerged out. Xigbar came out smirking at them, laughing loud. He didn't say a word; he just stood there laughing at them. Once they looked full of dismay, he knew that they weren't expecting to see his face...
"Aww cheer up, why are you kids so upset?" Xigbar said, having to try to stop the sarcasm in his voice.
"We're looking for Axel... We haven't seen him for a long time." Xion said shyly.
