Dean's p.o.v
Sam and I were at a coffee shop, eating a little breakfast, and trying to figure out what happened recently. I took a bite out my pancake and frowned.
"It doesn't make sense. What does Kim have to do with anything?" I asked.
"Clearly, this demon is attracted to her," Sam said.
"Well, yeah, duh. Who isn't?" I scoffed. "But why?"
Sam took a sip out of his coffee and typed something on his laptop. "In some cases, demons get possessive over a person. In this case, Kim," Sam explained. "When someone tries to interfere with the demon's relationship with that person, they die."
"So you're telling me that all these people died because some demon's jealous that a good-looking guy might take Kim away?" I questioned.
"Something like that."
I nodded and continued to eat. I looked around and saw a girl with her laptop in front of her, watching a video with her headphones in. I watched the video intently, a confused look on my face. "Hey, Sam?" I piped up. "See that girl behind you? What's she watching?"
Sam turned around and watched the video closely. "The Young Blood Chronicles," he answered. I stared at him with a raised eyebrow, making him sigh. "When Fall Out Boy released Save Rock and Roll, they released a series of music video that was put into a film."
"And this film. What was it about?"
"Basically, it's about Fall Out Boy getting kidnapped by an anti-music group led by Courtney Love and try to save rock and roll and protect this suitcase. But in the process, Patrick gets his hand chopped up, turns into a demon when he listens to music, gets beaten by kids, kills his best friend-"
"Hang on," I interrupted him. "Who turns into a demon?"
"Patrick. Patrick Stump," Sam replied. "Kim Paisley's boyfriend."
I nodded and continued to watch the video, where a close up of Patrick with ominous yellow eyes was shown. "Call me crazy, but something doesn't feel right about that video," I said. I got up and left a few dollar bills on the table. "Let's go."
"Where?" Sam asked, finishing his food.
"Police said Alex Winston was killed in the woods out of town. That's where we need to go."
~Time Lapse~
"So, let me get this straight," Sam said as we walked though the woods. "You think Patrick Stump, lead singer of Fall Out Boy, is a demon?"
I shrugged and waved my EMF radar around, trying to detect anything in the area. "Sam, there's only one person who had yellow eyes. Video or not, I have a bad feeling about that Stump guy," I snapped back, annoyed now.
Sam chuckled and smirked at me. "You do realize that video was completely fictional, right?" Sam asked. I ignored him and continued to walk around, when the radar began to go off. "The demon left a trace somewhere around here," I mumbled. I crouched and and looked at the dirt and fallen leaves. Sure enough, I saw sulfur on the ground. "He was here, alright."
I looked at Sam and saw him staring at something silver in his hands. I walked over and picked it up, holding it up to the sun. It was a silver bracelet with a heart charm that read Alex in cursive, and a charm shaped into Mickey Mouse's head with a lobster clasp. I rubbed the bracelet between my thumb and pointer finger and found sulfur on my fingertips. I shook my head and stared at the bracelet.
"What is it?" Sam asked me.
"This bracelet," I started. "Is Kim Paisley's. I saw her wearing it when we bumped into each other. And she never takes it off."
Sam raised an eyebrow and looked at me. "And you know this how?" he asked. I put the bracelet in my pocket and gave him a look. "You fangirl over Fall Out Boy, and I fangirl over Kim Paisley," I answered. Sam nodded and continued looking around. "Good point," he said. I sighed and looked around the area. "I don't think there's much here. Let's go," I said.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," Sam agreed.
We turned around and walked back. In the distance, I heard singing. "If Heaven's grief brings Hell's rain, then I'd trade all my tomorrows for just one yesterday," someone sang. "I know I'm bad new for just one yesterday. I saved it all for you." For some reason, it was as if my whole body went rigid and numb. I fell to the ground and began clutching my head in pain, yelling out in agony.
"Sam!" I shouted.
My eyesight got blurry and the world around me go hazy, but the singing continued. "I wanna teach you a lesson in the worst kind of way, still I'd trade all my tomorrows for just one yesterday. I know I'm bad news for just one yesterday. I saved it all for you for just one yesterday."
"Dean! Dean!" I heard Sam yell.
I looked around and I saw a figure in the distance. I couldn't see much, but what I did see clearly was a silver hook. That was the last thing I saw before passing out.
Patrick's p.o.v
I wandered around the woods outside the city, the wind around me getting a bit chilly. It was October, the month of Halloween. It would only seem fitting for it to be cold. Was I crazy to wear a leather jacket? Maybe, but I didn't really care much about what other people think. I felt guilty leaving Kim all alone at home when she's in this state, but I knew she would be devastated if she found out her treasured bracelet was missing. Which brings me back here. I stopped a spot where there were dry blood on the ground and crouched down. I searched through the leaves, but I saw no bracelet.
"Where are you hiding?" I mumbled.
I looked up and saw two men standing around, discussing something. I hid behind a tree and watch them carefully, eavesdropping on their conversation. "This bracelet," one of them said. "Is Kim Paisley's. I saw her wearing it when we bumped into each other. And she never takes it off."
. "And you know this how?" the other one asked. I watched the short guy put Kim's bracelet in his pocket and looked at his friend. "You fangirl over Fall Out Boy, and I fangirl over Kim Paisley," he answered.
His friend nodded and continued looking around. "Good point," he said. The guy with the bracelet looked around and said, "I don't think there's much here. Let's go."
I watched them curiously as they stalked off. Something tells me these weren't your everyday civilians, and they had Kim's bracelet. ""If Heaven's grief brings Hell's rain, then I'd trade all my tomorrows for just one yesterday," I sang. "I know I'm bad new for just one yesterday. I saved it all for you." I watched as the guy froze in his spot, then slowly fall to the ground
"Sam!" He shouted.
"I wanna teach you a lesson in the worst kind of way, still I'd trade all my tomorrows for just one yesterday. I know I'm bad news for just one yesterday. I saved it all for you for just one yesterday," I continued to sing
"Dean! Dean!" I heard the other guy, Sam, call out to his friend, Dean.
I smirked and slowly made my way towards him. "Anything you say can and will be held against you. So only say my name, it will be held against you. Anything you say can and will be held against you, so only say my name!" I sang. Sam cried out in pain, panting and holding his head.
"Make it stop!" he yelled.
I teleported behind him and watched him cry out in pain. He looked at me, his eyes fluttering, then fell limp on the ground. I crouched out and retrieved Kim's bracelet from Dean's (I'm guess that's his name) pocket. I stared at the bracelet and at the two unconscious men on the ground. Curiosity got the best of me and I searched through them until I found their wallets. I looked at their driver's license and then put them back where I found them. I got up and then walked away, leaving them there.
'These guys don't look like your everyday people,' I thought to myself. 'I should probably keep a tab on them.'
I got in my car and drove off back home. Kim's probably awake by now and wondering where I am. I picked up my phone and scrolled through my contacts. Maybe it was time I called my old friends. I know she'd get a kick out of this.
