The gun retracts and a man sets it on his lap, "What is a young boy like you doing on this island?"

I sit up and answer, "My friends and I were in a ship reck, we landed on this island a couple of days ago."

He sits back and reaches into his pack lifting a bottle of water, "The girl your sister?"

I shake my head, "No, but is she okay?"

His hand unscrews the lid of the container, "She is being looked over by my friend. She doesn't look to good. She your girlfriend?"

I shake my head again, "No, just my friend. Did you find my other friend?"

He shakes his head, "No, I just found you two." He takes a drink and passes to bottle to me.

Before I take a drink I ask, "How long have you been stuck out here?"

He chuckles, "We are not stuck on this island, we can leave whenever we want."

I choke on the water and my excitement sends me into a frantic, "Could you bring us back to the main land?"

He nods, "Yes, but first my friend and I came to this island for one reason. To bag us a raptor."

I stare at him in confusion, "Raptor?"

He nods, "Those creatures that were attacking you and your friends are called Velociraptors."

I am still confused, "Weren't Velociraptors little chickens."

He leans back, "Not these ones, these are mother natures beasts. Don't know why they are so big, but their pelt and meat sell very well."

I lift myself up, "I need to find my friend Henry."

He lifts his hands, "Hold on, you have to stay put. It's dangerous at night, the Raptors hunt better at night."

I pace around, "Then how will he survive?"

He says, "You have been here for a couple of days, that means nights too, he'll be fine for another night."

My attention turns toward the island, "What is this island?"

He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a pack of cigarettes, "I like to call it The Forgotten Land. Some say that his island survived the mass extinction. Every dinosaur on this island is way bigger than the bones dug up by scientists.

He lights his cigarette and walks over to a bag. He takes out a fruit and says, "This is the most valuable thing that grows on this island. It's a fruit that if ingested or placed on the skin has a healing ability. Unfortunately, those Raptors keep a very powerful eye on the supply."

We make a deal, I help him get as much fruit as we can and kill a raptor. I get to leave with him on his boat. Henry and Melissa included.
