Chapter 11: Trouble Found Me

The air surrounding me wreaked of smoke. All I could see for miles were dark black, leafless, dead trees that resembled a match that had burned completely until there was nothing but a thin, weak black stick left. The sky was dark and it was difficult to see anything above the trees because of all the smoke drifting above. Why am I here? Is this another dream?

I looked all around me and to panic a little. I didn't see Tyler- or anyone else I knew- nearby and I don't know if this is just a dream or not? Is this another training maybe?

"Aw, I knew I would find you eventually, Alex." A deep voice said. I couldn't tell where it was coming from though. The words seemed to echo all around me and I couldn't get them out of my head. The voice sent shivers down my spine and I couldn't help but feel afraid.

"Wh-who are you?! How do you know who I am?!" I called out. I tried to keep my voice steady and strong, but it betrayed me.

I spun slowly in a circle and looked around while I waited for an answer. Once I had made a complete circle, I turned to see a very tall, blonde haired, man who was way too close for comfort. He looked to be about my age, maybe a bit older. I didn't dare look into his eyes. I already felt as if his were burning into my face and looking straight into my soul.

"They haven't told you about me yet?" He said with a tone of fake surprise. "You'll know who I am soon enough, but you, Alex-" He walked closer and put his hand on my chin, finally making me look into his dark eyes. I could sense the evil in his eyes as they bore into my soul. His hand was icy cold, sending another wave of chills and fear through me. "-oh I've known you since the very day you were born."

He stepped back from me and began to circle around me as I stood still, paralyzed in fear. Looking into his eyes, I saw something dark. I don't know what it was, but it was the most terrifying thing I have ever seen. It was something dangerous; something pure evil. 

"I've had my eye on you ever since your dad left. He wasn't there to protect you. But then as I continued to observe you, I realised you knew nothing about what you were!" He loudly exclaimed with a chuckle. "So I decided to continue observing until the day you knew what you were. It wouldn't be any fun if you didn't know what you were. It would have been too easy to turn you against them. I at least want a bit of a challenge." He said with a smirk. What does he mean 'turn me against them'? "Then your little boyfriend found you and took you back to the island. I knew it wouldn't be much longer, but oh how much more fun this would've been if you had known who I am before I finally got a hold of you." He said with a sigh.

"Cole isn't my boyfriend!" I said. It seemed to surprise him that I finally had spoken up. " And if you want me to know who you are, why don't you just tell me already?" I said in an annoyed tone, still avoiding eye contact. I wouldn't be able to be talking to him like this if I looked into those dark orbs of evil.

"Someone's feisty." He said with a chuckle. "But if you must know..." He walked closer and closer to me until I could feel his hot breath on my ear. "I'm your worst nightmare." He whispered, sending chills throughout my entire body. 

With that, he was gone and all that remained was smoke that resembled the smoke covering the sky above me. I was even more afraid now. He knew everything about me, but I don't know anything about him other than he is obviously someone to stay away from. How is it he got me here though? I'm supposed to appear places where my help is needed or to get me away from danger, not put me in danger.

Unless he needs me to help him. "It would have been too easy to turn you against them. I at least want a bit of a challenge." His words started to echo through my head again.

Sorry for the short chapter and not updating in awhile, but I had serious writer's block and I'm just coming up with this as I go along, so I'm sorry if it sucks. I am also going to update my other book, Bad Boy Rep, today too. Thanks for reading, and you'll find out who that creepy stalker guy is soon. :)
