A/N: IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE I HAVE UPDATED I AM SO SORRY! BUT HEY! HERE IS A SUPER FLUFFY FIC TO MAKE UP FOR IT!
It was raining in Los Angeles. So, Troye and Connor decided it was a 'stay in take out' day. A documentary was put on and Indian food was ordered. The boys settled in, cuddled up, and began to watch the movie.
The movie was half way through when they heard the doorbell ring. None of them had ordered anything from online so they immediately turned to each other confused, yet somewhat excited.
There was small a tradition they had, sending secret packages of new coffee brands or oversized sweaters, and it happened constantly. But when Connor and Troye saw the confused expressions on each others face, a sense of excitement rushed through them.
It wasn't often that they got packages that wasn't from the other, so this was almost a treat. Troye and Connor scrambled from their position and ran to the door. Connor, being the more active one, reached the door quicker than Troye did.Connor opened the door and rushed to pick up the, now damp, box.
"Oh my god Troye it's from my mom," Connor squealed. Troye cocked his head in confusion since there was no reason for Cheryl to be sending gifts. Yet he still was excited for Connor, because seeing his child-like boyfriend get so ecstatic over a package was adorable.
Once he opened the box, a note fell out. Connor, befuddled as to why there was a note in the first place, picked it up from the ground and read it out loud.
'Hi sweetie! I was going through the attic the other day and found this! I remembered it was your favorite book so as a child I though, why not send it to you? I obviously don't need it and I know you love to own things from when you were younger. Who knows, maybe you will be reading it to your own children! Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!

Connor laughed at the note. Of course his dork of a mother would send him his 'favorite childhood book.' He continued to open the package as Troye re-read the paper Cheryl wrote, giggling at it too. The green eyed boy then gasped out loud and Troye looked up from the paper.
Connor's face lit up when he saw the contents of the box. His boyfriend wondered what could possibly be this exciting to get so enthusiastic about.
"TROYE! Troye look at this! I can't believe this holy shit!" Connor exclaimed while excitingly shoving the book in Troye's face. The Australian took the book from his boyfriend's hand and started at it bewildered.
"Goodnight Moon? I have never heard of this," Troye spoke.
"WHAT! HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK?!" Connor screamed at Troye.
"Calm down. I just have never read it okay? Not much of a big deal," Troye grumbled, suddenly jealous that he hasn't ever read this so called 'classic.'
"We are reading this tonight. Your life is incomplete without this book," Connor insisted.
Troye nodded his head. For some reason, he was thrilled to read this small cardboard book.
-
"Sooo, are you ready?" Connor asked giddily later that night. Troye smiled and shook his head. He is such a dork he thought to himself. Troye then pated the place next to him on the couch. Connor plopped onto the sofa and began to open the book.
Troye put his computer on the coffee table and buried his face into Connor's neck. "You can begin now," Troye whispered into his boyfriends skin, right before he curled his legs around Connor. The light haired boy pressed a small kiss on Troye's head before beginning.
"In the great green room, there was a telephone and a red balloon, and a picture of the cow, jumping over the moon,"
Troye laughed at Connor's 'bedtime voice.' (Which was really Connor speaking in a whisper, so only he and Troye could hear.)
"And there were three little bears sitting on chairs, and two little kittens, and a pair of mittens,"
"Kittens huh? No wonder you liked this book so much," Troye teased Connor. The American boy just hushed the aussie and continued to read.
"And a little toy house, and a young mouse,"
Troye yawned, suddenly beginning to feel tired. Connor cooed at him and brought him closer, as if they weren't already close enough.
"And a comb and a brush and a bowl full of mush,"
"Mush?" Troye questioned, grimacing at the word. Connor smiled at the boy, who seemed to have a comment on every line of the book, and again, told him to be silent.
"And a quiet old lady who was whispering 'hush,'"
The pale boy poked his boyfriend and told him he was the old lady, since he constantly told Troye to be quiet. Connor just laughed and continued to read, not bothering to hide his smile.
"Goodnight room, goodnight moon, goodnight cow jumping over the moon,"
Connor's voice began to lull Troye to sleep. His breathing slowed down and his eyes drooped as Connor continued the story.
"Goodnight light, and the red balloon,"
"Wow this book is repetitive," Troye laughed. Connor explained that it was a children's book, it was supposed to be repetitive. The boy just smiled at the explanation and made hand gestures to continue.
"Goodnight bears, goodnight chairs, goodnight kittens, and goodnight mittens,"
The warmth of Connor made Troye feel more sleepy and he, again, moved closer, so he was practically on top of the other boy. The sounds of Los Angeles traffic and bugs seemed to fade away as the two hugged each other close.
"Goodnight clocks, and goodnight socks, goodnight little house, and goodnight mouse"
Troye fell asleep right then. Even though they did nothing that day, he was exhausted. Connor didn't realize and still continued to read.
"Goodnight comb, and goodnight brush, goodnight nobody, goodnight mush"
Connor's voice was only but a mere whisper at that point, if Troye was awake he most likely wouldn't be able to hear him that well.
"And goodnight to the old lady whispering "hush,"goodnight stars, goodnight air, goodnight noises everywhere"
The aussie boy began to lightly snore and his boyfriend chuckled at his sleeping form. "Goodnight Troye," Connor whispered. He pressed a soft kiss to the sleeping boy's hair and put the book down on the table in front of him. Deciding that the couch was a terrible place to sleep on, Connor struggled to lift up his boyfriend and carried him to the bedroom.
Once he put Troye on the bed, he changed out of his clothes, brushed his teeth, and got into bed with the 20 year old. After stripping the taller boy of his skinny jeans and t-shirt, Connor slipped under the covers and pulled Troye to his side. "I love you," Connor muttered before he let the wave of sleep over take him. Bodies pressed together, the boys both fell into a deep sleep. They were grateful for the package. Connor would soon wake up in the morning and call his mother, thanking her for the small, slightly ripped, book.
A/N: This is so short, sorry.
