"I had a dream about you last night. It was long; I don't remember most of it," Connor whispered to Troye.

The two boys were 'hiding from monsters, goblins, and scary creatures' in a cramped but cozy fort. Of course, there wasn't any actual monsters, but Troye needed a reason to act like a child for a little while, and Connor couldn't say no to that.

"Oh really?" Troye questioned, "what do you remember?"

"It's kinda hard to explain," Connor fidgeted with the small string of broken fairy lights that hung from the top of the fort. (Troye complained earlier that the lights were needed to "add to the magical appeal," even though they didn't work.)

"Well, we have a lot of time. I don't think the monsters and goblins are going to go leave anytime soon, Con," Troye smirked.

The green-eyed boy sighed. He did bring it up. Connor may as well just explain it.

"It started with you in a tent or cabin, I think," Connor started, "you were brushing a fox with a wooden hair comb. It was the most stunning fox, with a bright orange fur coat and large eyes."

Troye nodded along, listening intently to Connor's dream.

"The fox then ran away. It ran into a stream of water, but you were too afraid to get wet, so you didn't go after it."

Troye scoffed. He complained to Connor for making his dream self seem so wimpy. Connor laughed at that.

"The setting then changed. I saw you in a strawberry field. You were dancing, I'm pretty sure. There was no music, but you were still dancing. You also picked up a strawberry at some point and ate it while still swaying, it seemed like you enjoyed it but I could be wrong. After you ate it you started running and leaping and joyously yelling something incoherent about telling everyone that you found this marvelous field. You seemed happy, I liked that part of the dream."

Troye gave a crooked smile to Connor and explained that he would absolutely love eat strawberries in a strawberry field. Connor laughed and told the curly haired boy that they would find a way to do that soon.

"I've never have danced to no music though, seems fun," Troye thought out loud.

"Do you want to? Dance with no music I mean," Connor asked softly.

"Mhm! I'm positive the monsters are gone now, we can go dancing." Troye's eyes twinkled with excitement.

Connor chuckled at his child-like boyfriend and started to open up the fort.

Troye scurried out as soon as the blanket door was efficiently pushed to the side. He tried standing up but accidentally fell, due to his half numb leg.

Connor laughed at his clumsy companion but soon joined him outside the fort and helped the younger boy stand up without falling again. Troye thanked him and skipped to the center of the living room.

"This is where I'm going to dance with you," Troye smiled, pointing to the space below him and then to the smaller boy. As soon as Connor made it to the middle of the room Troye grabbed the lighter haired boy's hands and rested them on his hips.

"Now, put your hands on my shoulders," Connor told Troye.

"I know that silly," Troye teased. The blue-eyed boy then slid his hands up to the top of Connor's arms, and then slowly put them around his neck.

Connor moved closer and rested his head on Troye's chest. Troye smiled at the action and began to slowly move around.

The boys shuffled silently across the living room floor. It was comfortable silence, it felt somewhat like home to Connor.

"All we need is a strawberry field, then your dream will be reality," Troye hummed in the other boy's ear after a bit. Connor nodded.

"I mean, I think if we imagine that we are in the field it will be like we are actually there," suggested the older boy.

"I like that idea."

"Then close your eyes, and imagine a strawberry field."

"I am."

"Good. So am I."

The boys rocked back and forth as they pictured a sunny field behind their eyelids.

In Troye's mind, he was standing upon a hill filled with the red fruit. He was stretching his arms up so he could feel the warmth of the sun's rays. It was a happy place. There was no monsters or goblins or scary creatures that him and Connor were hiding from before, only prancing foxes and beautiful boys with green eyes and soft hair.

Troye decided that his new favorite place was a strawberry field.

Connor decided the same thing.
