Just a Simple Love Story (One direction Fanfic)

Chapter six

          I slowly grab the cold doorknob and twist it even slower. I open the door to see Zayn sitting on my bed holding something in his hands. I walk a little closer and finally see whats in his hands. I gasp and run over to him and snatch the picture from his hands as fast as lightning. Zayn jumps then calms  down once he realizes its me. I look at the picture and see my dad, mom, and brother hugging and smiling. I was behind them smiling, but I ripped myself out the picture a few weeks after their death. 

       Zayn said "Is that your family?". I nod and said "Yes, but I have a sister too". I would be crying right now if I haven't already run out of tears. I guess he can tell that I want to cry, so he gets off the bed and walks over to me and gives me a hug. I drop the picture and put my arms around him. He said "I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what your going through". I look at him and say "How do you know their dead?". He drops his head and said "Please don't be mad at Katie. I made her tell me. If you have to be mad at someone be mad at me". I let go of him and say "I'm not mad. I'm actually happy she told you. I don't think I have the energy to tell anyone else today".

      Zayn looks at me curiously and said "So someone else knows other then Katie". I said "Yeah, I told James while we were gone". Zayn looked a little sad when I said that. I walk over to the bed and sit down. Zayn follows me and sits right beside me. My heart pounds, because I just realized we were hugging. He looks at me and says "I won't tell the others without your permission". I smile and say "Thank you". He smiles a big smile. I can't help but to look into his beautiful brown eyes. Neither of us talk for a few minuets; Although, It feels like hours. He stands up and looks down at me.  

      He said "So what happened in the Balled room? If I may ask I mean". I look down at my feet and gather up my courage. I said "My parents and brother died in a car accident, because of me. I was singing in my school musical and My family was supposed to come". I proceeded to tell him the rest of my story. He didn't interupt me once. He just stood there and listened. Soon after I finished he sat back down beside me. He said "So you haven't slept very well in a long while?". I nod and sigh. 

         He surprised me by saying "Well then, I guess i'll have to lay with you till you fall asleep. So if you have a bad dream I can wake you up". I didn't know what to say. I don't know how to explain it, but I feel really safe around him. He said "Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Your coming with us to the amusement park tomorrow right?". I smile and say "Sure, i'd love to go. Katie loves to ride roller coasters". He laughs and says "Great, It will be fun. I promise". I nod in agreement. He pats the bed and says "You should get some rest now. Don't worry, i'm not leaving till you fall asleep. 

        I turn to him blushing. He looks at me confused. then I point to my clothing and he nods understandably. He turns away from me and says "Don't worry, I won't peak". He laughs as I my face turns blood red from embarrassment. I quickly take my clothes off and throw then in the hamper. I search for my pajamas and then put them on. I say "It's okay, You can look now". He turns back around and looks at my adventure time pajamas. I blush a bright pink while he laughs. He said "I'm sorry. I just wasn't expecting that". I stick my tongue at him and say "Adventure time is one of my favorite shows". He stops laughing long enough to say "it's fine. I like that show too, besides, they look cute on you". Did he just say i'm cute? He probably meant the pajamas are just adorable. I mean he can't be gay or bi, Can he?

       I go back to the bed and lay down. I said "Are you sure you want to stay here and wait for me to fall asleep?". He said "Of course, It couldn't hurt to try and see if it works". I smile and lay beside of him. I curl up in my blanket and lay my head on the pillow. Zayn lays on his back and puts his arms under his head. I smile and feel really content. I reach my hand over to the lamp and turn it off. I fall asleep right when my head hits the pillow. 

       I open my eyes and see sunlight shining through the window. The sun feels so good on my face. I suddenly realize someones holding on to me. I turn around slowly to see Zayn holding me. I immediately blush a bright red. I can feel my face burning. I don't know what to do, so I just lay there for a few minutes. It feels so good laying here with him. I feel so safe and warm. He must have fell asleep while waiting for me to fall asleep. I know he will feel really awkward and embarrassed waking up to me. I mean he didn't mean to fall asleep with me, did he? He did say I was cute. Ughh, I can't think about boys right now.

       I slide off the bed as slowly as I can making sure I don't wake him. He mumbles a bit, but I am successful at getting up. I walk to the bathroom and look in the mirror. I look better then I did yesterday. I don't know why, but my eyes seem to have more life in them. I just look happier then usual. I smile a bit and then grab my tooth brush. I brush my teeth then I grab my towel. I walk in the bath tub and take a shower.

       I walk out the shower and put some clothes on. I grab a plain white t-shirt and some cargo shorts. I walk out the bathroom to see that Zayn is gone. I'm sad for a second, then I pull my self together and pick my phone off the night stand. I look at the clock and it says 11:04 am. I walk to the balcony for some fresh air. Then I start to call my sister. It rings twice before someone answers.

     I said "Hey Aria, how are you?". Aria said "Hey Jake, I'm glad you called. I've been waiting for you to call me. I'm doing fine. I got a sonogram yesterday and the doc said everything is going great. Hows London?". I smile hearing her voice. I miss her so much. Aria and Katie are the two I love more then anything in the world. Aria is four months pregnant. We both hope it's a girl. I said "It's wonderful here. It's great that the baby is doing good. I know everything will be fine". Aria said "I hope so. Mike is about to be here so we can go baby clothes shopping. So I got to go. I will call you later tonight tho. I love you". I said "I love you too".

      I hang the phone up and put it in my pocket. I walk back in my room and walk out to the hallway. I walk down the stairs and see Katie, Niall, and Harry. Katie jumps off the couch and runs over to me and hugs me. I smile and say "Hey Katie, good morning". Katie said "It is almost twelve o clock in the afternoon. You slept all morning. I don't remember the last time you slept so long". She puts her lips to my ear and whispers "Did you have a nightmare?". I shake my head no and she smiles widely. Harry gets up and says "You don't have to explain what happened yesterday. Katie told us enough. By the way, where is Zayn?".

     I give him a weird look. I said "Why would I know where he is?". Harry gives me a devilish grin and says "You two were sleeping together, so I figured he would be with you". He gives me a wink as I blush. I said "He fell asleep making sure I would be okay. He was asleep when I took a shower, but he was gone when I got out". Niall gets up and says "He probably went to his room to take a shower. Were leaving to go to the amusement park soon". Katie jumps up with excitement. I laugh at her for being so silly.

     Zayn, Louis, and Liam walk down the stairs laughing. Zayn looks at me and blushes. Louis said "Is everyone ready?". We all nod are heads and say yes. We walk to the limo and see James. I told him hey and he nods his head back at me. Some how I got stuck sitting beside Zayn. I feel like the Katie and the rest did it on purpose. Zayn smiles at me as he sits beside me. James starts the car and drives away.

     We get to the amusement park in about ten minutes. It's huge and looks so amazing. I can see lots of big rides. We walk over to get our wrist bands and walk in. Their arn't that much people here tho. I see a ring toss stand. I walk over there forgetting I was with a group. I see a big panda bear and smile. Zayn puts his hand on my shoulder and says "I can get that for you if you want". I blush and say "No, i'm fine. It just reminds me of when my dad would always play ring toss to get me a stuffed panda. Zayn walks up to the man and him three dollars. Zayn gets all three rings on the bottles and hands me a panda bear. I smile and blush. I said "Thanks". I turn back to the rest and we all start walking around.
