Miranda's pov

I wave to dad and get on the bus, gripping my locket in my hand. Luckily I get a seat to myself and when we get to Sierra's, I motion for her to sit with me but she sits with some other girl! My jaw drops in shock. I scoot as close to the window as I can and try not to cry. I curl up in a ball, forcing back the tears. We stop again and a new boy gets on. I'm the only available seat! Uh oh. "Sierra!" I hiss. But she doesn't hear me! "Hi uh can I sit with you?" The new boy asks, nervously. I scoot close to the window again and nod. Why?! He sits down his stare on the ground. I look out the window until I feel someone's hand on mine. I snap my head around. The new boy put his hand over mine. My heart's racing. "Wh-What's your name?" He asks, meeting my eyes. "Miranda." I choke out, "You?" "Keith." He smiles so I do too. We get in a conversation and reach the school faster than usual. He kissed me on the cheek, my face getting hot. I stare at his back as he leaves. Me and Sierra meet up in class. My face still red. "Why'd you abandon me!?" I cry. "What are you talking about?" She gapes. "Nothing." I mumble. "So who was the boy sitting with you?" She asks. I smile. "His name's Keith. He kissed me on the school bus and told me not to tell." Her eyes go wide. "Really?" "Yeah but don't tell dad!" I cry. She nods and he walks in the door. My eyes light up in excitement. I nervously walk over. "Hey Keith." I say, waving. He smiles. We sit beside each other, talking and joking.

*later*

He slips me a note. I smile and clasp it. I'm about to read it when the teacher walks by. Before the teacher took it, I read what he wrote. Do you love me, do you wanna be my friend, and if you do, well then don't be afraid to take me by the hand if you want to, I think this is how love goes, check yes or no. I look over at him. I smile and nod.

*later*

He held my hand walking to the bus. "Thanks Keith. I had so much fun today." He smiles and kisses my head then we get on the bus.

Jason's pov

The girls come home from school. Miranda has the biggest smile on her face. I smile. "What happened at school today?" I ask. Her eyes go wide, her smile fading. "Nothing." She says, quickly running to her room. Well that was weird. What happened? I'll talk to Rachel when she gets home. She had a teacher's meeting so she gets home later then the kids. I go up to Miranda's room, she's singing and dancing around the room to George Strait's check yes or no. I lean against the doorframe watching my sweet little princess. She's a splitting image of her mother. Dark black hair, that same look. She's just adorable. She turns around. "Daddy!" She gasps, stopping. "Hey hun, you sing great. Don't stop." I say, laughing. She smiles. She changes the song to one of my songs. "Sing it with me?" I smile. "Of course darlin'." I reply. We sing to my song big green tractor as Rachel gets home. "I'm home." She says. "Upstairs babe." I call back. I smile and hug my daughter. "Now you get washed up for dinner." She nods and I go downstairs to meet Rachel. "Hey sweetheart how was work?" I ask, kissing her. "I've got some huge news." She says, holding my hands. She glances at the stairs. "What is it hun?" "Miranda made a new friend. A little boy named Keith." My eyes go wide. That's why she was so happy! "A b-boy?" I stumble for words. She laughs. "Yeah, a boy. He's a sweet kid and he makes her not shy." "As long as they don't go further than friends." I mutter. She laughs again and I turn red. "She's 7, Jason!" She gasps. "Yeah, I guess you're right." I mumble, shrugging. Just then she comes downstairs so we drop all conversation of it. We eat dinner then Rachel goes to get a shower. "Mrs. Rachel told me you made a new friend today?" She smiles. "Yeah, I like him alot. I can be myself around him." I'm glad she made a friend. I don't want her to be a loner. I hug her and tuck her in to bed. Then I go to my room just as Rachel gets out of the shower. "I'm glad she found a friend but keep an eye on him." I say. "Oh Jay." She says, rolling her eyes. I smile and pull her close to me, kissing her passionately. "I live you baby." I say. "I love you too Jason."

*the next day*

My sweet princess runs down the stairs with her dress on. "Ready for the wedding?" She asks. I nod and we go to the church.

Luke's pov

Lisa runs over. "I know we're not supposed to see each other before the wedding but..." She says, letting her voice trail off and kissing me hard. "I love you Luke." "I love you to the ends of the earth and to the moon and back." I hug her tight until Jason arrives with Miranda and Rachel. "Uncle Lukey!" She yells running over. I pick the happy girl up and spin her around. She hugs my neck. "Where's Sierra?" "With my mom." I set her down and she runs down that way. "Wow, she's more lively than usual, what's up?" I ask. Jason smiles down the hallway. "Made a new friend at school. Ever since than she's been such a happy little girl like it should be." He says, gladly crossing his arms. "I'm proud of you man." I say, setting a hand on his shoulder. "Enough of the emotional shit. Go get your twerkin' ass on the altar." He says, pushing me forward. I laugh and swat his arm away. I push the doors open and walk over.
