We boarded the plane and started to settle in. Greyson, Esther, and I are the only passengers. Esther sat down and pulled out her laptop.

"I'm going to be working on my music, so no one bother me." Esther said as she put her Beats headphones on.

"So, I guess it's just you and me." Greyson said putting his carry-on bag in the overhead compartment.

"Yeah, I guess so." I struggled to put my bag in the compartment. "Oh crap!" I said as my bag popped open and everything fell down on the floor. I bent down and started putting things back in my bag.

"Let me help you with that." Greyson chuckled as he picked up some bottles. "What's with all the perscriptions?"

"She likes popping pills." My sister giggled, peeking her head above her laptop.

"Shut up Esther, I do not! I have some.... medical problems." I said hesitantly.

"Like what?" asked Greyson, curiously.

"Like, arthritis, I injured my back, I have -" I was cut off.

The flight attendant came out and interrupted our conversation. She asked us to take our seats. Greyson sat in the chair next to me. She gave her little speech and we buckled our seatbelts. She told us we will be taking off in 5 minutes. At that moment, it finally hit me that we were on a plane, I started to get really nervous. When I get nervous I hyperventilate. 'Oh, this is just perfect. What will Greyson think if he sees me like this?' I thought to myself. Greyson turned his head and saw that I was hyperventilated.

"Maddie, are you okay?" Greyson asked with concern in his eyes.

"Remember when - I said I have - medical problems?" I asked in between breaths.

"Yeah."

"Well, one of them - is anxiety. - I get really - nervous - when I'm stressed - or when I'm put - in uncomfortable situations." I said still hyperventilating. "Can you hand - me that - paper bag?"

Greyson gave me the bag and I breathed into it. I took deep and slow breaths.

A voice came over the intercom, "Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. We will now be taking off for Beijing, China. We know you have many choices for your air travel so we thank you for picking US Airways." The engines started up and we start to move.

"Oh my gosh. - We're moving!" I said hyperventilating harder.

"Ssshh. It's okay." Greyson wrapped his arms around me. "I've got you. I'm not gonna let anything happen to you."

At this point I started to cry but Greyson held on to me. After what felt like an eternity the captain spoke over the intercom and said we were free to roam the cabin. I started to calm down.

"Are you okay now?" Greyson asked still hugging me.

"Yeah. I'm okay. Oh gosh. I feel like a fool." I said pulling away from him.

"You're not a fool. You're just scared. A lot of people are afraid of planes." He put his arm around my shoulders.

"I'm sorry you had to see me like that." I was ashamed. "Guys usually think I'm a freak after I have one of my 'episodes'."

"I don't think you're a freak. I know how you feel. I get really nervous before I do concerts." Greyson said, empathatically.

"I wish I didn't have this high level of anxiety. People treat me differently after they see me act like this." I said with my head down.

"Who cares about their opinion. They don't take the time to know you personally, so they judge you by your actions. If they knew the sweet girl that I've been hanging out with, they'd overlook your little flaws and love you for who you are." said Greyson.

I looked up. "Aw. Thank you Greyson. Looks like it's you who really knows how to make someone feel better." I smiled. Greyson returned the smile and hugged me.

"I love that you're comfortable enough to tell me all this, Maddie." said Greyson. "Even my closest friends that are girls back home aren't this open with me."

"I feel very comfortable talking to you. You make me feel safe, like I've known you my whole life. I feel like I can trust you, which is strange considering we met 2 hours ago." I said looking into Greyson's kind eyes. "I'm going to go to the bathroom. I probably look like I washed up on the shores of my subconcious."

"Was that an Inception reference?" Greyson asked, his brown eyes lighting up.

"Yes! Oh my gosh. I can't believe you got that. Most people don't get my movie references." I said as I stood up.

"You just made my day 10 times better making that reference!"

"I love that movie!"

"Me too!"

I sat back down in my chair and we talked about Inception for a couple hours. Before we knew it, it was 6 o'clock. The flight attendant brought our dinner out. I pulled out my phone and took a picture of my chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans.

"What are you doing?" Greyson laughed.

"This is my first time eating airplane food, I want to post it on facebook." I said as I typed a caption for the photo.

"What are you typing? 'Airplane food! Heart, Smiley face, #airplane, #food, #chicken, #mashed, #potatoes'." Greyson said in his best valley girl voice.

"Shut up." I giggled and playfully elbowed him in the ribs.

"Hey, here's an idea. How about we take a picture together." said Greyson.

"Okay. Smiling or silly face?" I asked.

"Silly face." Greyson said. He held his phone up and I leaned in close. He stuck his tongue out in that cute way he does when he takes pictures. I flashed a big toothy smile and squinted my eyes.

"What's your caption gonna be?" I asked looking over his shoulder at his phone.

"It'll be 'Guess who this cutie is?'" He said smiling. I started to blush a little bit.

"Are you blushing?" Greyson asked.

"What? No, no. Of course not. Me blushing? I don't know what you're talking about." I blushed even more.

"Aw. You're cheeks are bright red, that's called blushing sweetheart." Greyson laughed.

"You're such a flirt. It's hard not to blush around you." I smiled, trying to hide my red cheeks with the blanket in my lap.

Greyson leaned in close and whispered in my ear, "I only flirt with girls I really like."

I smiled. I looked over at my sister sitting a few rows ahead of us. Her eyes were glued to her laptop and she still had her Beats on. I turned and whispered in Greyson's ear, "We can't let Esther know about us. She will think our relationship will effect your performance on stage. She already told me I'll probably be a distraction."

Greyson whispered back, "Oh, we're gonna be sneaky. You know I love keeping secrets."

"We have to pinky promise, we are sworn to secrecy." I held out my pinky.

"Pinky Promise." Greyson wrapped his pinky around mine. Then he moved his face from my ear to my lips. "I'll never break our promise."

"I won't either, I don't want to lose what we have." As soon as I finished my sentence, Greyson laid his lips on mine and kissed me.
