Chapter 6

Cande's POV

Mari is being specially awkward today, she has been avoiding me all day, skipped the classes we had together and whenever I saw her on the hallway or at lunch she was whispering with Ashton or Michael, or if not alone sitting on the floor scrolling down her messages as she was looking for something.

She was never like this, she was the caring-type that asks you everything whenever she sees you or if not she speaks with new people and that kind of stuff... 

I knew Mari wasn't coming home early today because she was doing something, I don't know exactly what, with Ashton in the afternoon so, yeah, I was a forever alone bitch without any friend except some periods that this guy Calum would chat with me...

Speaking of the devil...

"Hey"

"Holla" I said while I was finishing my sandwich

"Mind if I join?" 

"Nah, it's ok."

He smiled warmly and sat in front of me in the furthest table from the civilization of the canteen. I liked him, he was the easy going guy that doesn't ask too much questions and knows when to shut up. He is Luke's best friend. I don't get why, he is so sweet and Luke is literally an asshole. I guess you already guessed by now that my relationship with Luke did not progress at all. Maybe he was nice to me the other day but we couldn't be nice to each other more than 5 minutes....

"So... Cande, what's up?"

"Nothing much..." 

"Ready for tomorrow night?"

I looked up at him trying as so to figure out what the hell he was talking about, he must have realized because he explained...

"Scott's party? I thought you were coming, you know, the guys are coming and Mari is coming and it's gonna be a huge party you know, half of the school is going actually..."

"Wait what?"

"Yeah, half of the school and..."

"No that, Mari? Mari's going?" I felt my heart aching

"Well yeah, I invited her."

"You did what?" I had already stood up and was grabbing my stuff and going away. "You fucking serious?" 

Mari's POV

Avoiding Cande was extremely complicated when we were in most of the classes together and she was my only girlfriend on school so.. yeah. I hung out with Ashton and Michael all day trying to avoid her, and it was getting really annoying when they talked about stuff in whispers or some footie shit. So, my day was being shit.

I couldn't tell Cande I was going to Scott's party, I felt like I was betraying her. And it didn't feel right.

At all.

"WHAT THE HELL MARI?"

"What the..." I felt someone pushing me against a locker and two hands grabbing me strongly.

"When were you planning to tell me?"

"Cande what the fuck?"

"Don't look at me with the misunderstood look I know you know what I'm talking about, and I don't like it at all you idiot."

"Calm down, ok? Calm down, you are making a big deal and we are in the middle of the hallway."

"Yeah but it's fucking luck there's nobody here so shut up and spit it."

"Calum stole my beanie and he told me that he wouldn't give it back to me unless I went to Scott's party with him so yeah maybe I freaked out and I said yes but oh hell... I was going to invite you too!"

"A beanie? Are you going to that hell hole because of a beanie? I know you love them but really I mean..."

"It's the monkey beanie..."

She stopped.

"The monkey beanie? THE beanie?"

"Yep"

"We're going to that hell hole"

"Wait, are you coming then?" I felt my smile appearing between my words...

"Course I am, what were you gonna do without me there?" She winked at me playfully. 

"Oh and, Cande?"

"Hmnm?"

"Luke's going" I added winking and heading to the canteen again.

Cande's POV

"Luke's going" She said as she made her way to the canteen.

"Not with me so whatevs"

"Oh yeah I know, Calum told me that Luke invited Jess to the party so you don't have to worry." And when she said that, I don't know why but something broke inside me. Like, I don't care if Luke takes that slut to the party it's his life and I hate him.

Or maybe I don't.

So yeah guys, here's the chapters for last week and this week and REALLY sorry for the late but... school is actually killing us.

We've been correcting chapters and stuff so we hope they are slightly better :)
