Mare's POV

I round up the last few guys who I killed and place them on the huge pile of bodies in the corner. Nami stands near a computer, her hands moving faster than that of a teenage high school student texting about her love status.

She cracks her neck as she sends the finalised report back via e-mail and with a small swipe of her hand, slices the computer to bits.

I send her a puzzled look to which she replies to with a shrug and half-assed smirk.

This was my fifteenth time pairing with her for an assassination mission and I still don't get her at all...and both of us girls at that!

"Um...Nami, can I ask you something?" I look at the ground a bit as my thoughts arrange themselves.

Nami pulls out the wallet of the deceased and sighs, muttering something about cheapskates.

"....Yeah! Shoot Mare! You don't have to ask for permission or anything, ya know." Nami says with a smile, leading the way to the path we used to get into the place.

"I want to know more about your powers....and Zero's! I asked everyone about their powers and they straight out told me but whenever I bring you or Zero up, they just smile or smirk.....specially Leo!" I grit my teeth as I remember what he said when I asked about Zero's powers.

"It's totally okay to have a crush on the guy you haven't been on a mission on with. Especially when he is the third most useful guy." Leo puts hand on my shoulder. "You don't have to worry about how strong he is! Just head right to him and confe-OWOwOW STOP!!!UNCLE UNCLE!!!"

I'll leave what I did to Leo to all of your imagination.

Nami smiles and says, "Yeah. You really shouldn't ask others to tell you about someone else's ability and do not head to that Otaku-Gem freak. He'll spout BS no matter what you ask!"

"To get directly to the point. My power is basically speed enhancement, magic and the cat like reflexes that Kairo put in me. My speed enhancement increases with the amount training I put into my reflexive and speed skills. That's why Zero is the fastest in our group, me in second tied with Rio-chan. My magic is the basic ones you learn like healing and strength magic and etc. etc."

"So basically, you're the fast offense that stuns the enemy for the true offensive group?"

Nami sweat drops. "You can say that. About Zero.....I don't think he know the ability of the skill Gaia gave him. With the added bonus of Kaneki, Darkening and Kalkier Core.....he might be stronger than the entire nation and with knowing his ability, he might be able to ascend a level higher than ordinary standards!"

I look at Nami with shock though I wonder if Nami can tell with us walking down the now dark forest path away from the secret entrance. "That means he has infinite potential!"

"Yup!" Nami giggles making me notice the slits in her eyes.

"But....he can still die....right?" I say, a bit worried if I had crossed my limits of questioning.

Nami slows down her pace at that. "....He can" she whispers as she continues her original pace.

"He can die anytime and that's why Kairo trained him not too!" Nami looks back at me with a small smile.
