Finally free?

As I was now 23 years old I could walk around and talk for the most part. I collected my eye crusties and have been forming a tiny stick by squishing them together. I would use this to pick the lock on the door and make my escape. It was finally time. my stick was just long enough to fit and get me out of here. I gently put it in and jiggled it around a bit until I heard a click. I twisted the door knob and the feeling of it moving it my hand felt like I was opening the gates to heaven. I slowly stepped out and the light poured into my eyes. I squinted at this new thing. I've never experienced things such as this. I crept down the hall making sure not to disturb my parents or Demi. I saw the outdoors and was very excited. The only other time I've been outside was 23 years ago when I was a newborn and was brought into the house. I stepped outside feeling the cool dirt under my feet. Then I quickly stepped inside. What would my parents do if they found out about this? Would they even care? She decided to let them know she had made it out and she was ready to leave on her own. I peeked into doors until I found the one my parents were in. Their jaws dropped wide open when they saw me they were very surprised to see me in the light. I was covered in dirt and have been wearing the same clothes for years now. They yelled,
"GET BACK IN THE BASEMENT NOW!!! HOW DID YOU EVEN GET OUT, POOT GET DOWN THERE!" I ran towards the front door. I was not getting locked in there again. I was just a few feet away from the door and then I saw her. Demi. She was beautiful and looked amazing. This didn't matter I had to get out. The only issue was Demi was standing right in the door way so I wouldn't leave.
