If I wanted to start to be the player, I needed a new wardrobe. I never really liked shopping, spending time in a store for hours wasn’t my thing. The only time I enjoyed shopping was when some of my friends were with me. So better one than nothing right? I grabbed my cell phone and called Jessica, the one girl who wouldn’t need an explanation for shopping, and told her to meet me at the mall. This was going to take a huge chunk out of the money I have been saving for a car, but god knows its so worth it!

“No, I liked the purple one on you.” Jessica said as I stepped out of the dressing room in a lime green dress, twirling around to show all angles.

“Are you sure??” I asked, looking down at myself again. I liked the purple dress, but the green just screamed my name.

“Well you are obviously doing this to impress a guy, so if I were you I would get the purple dress, its more daring. And its also out of your comfort zone. Not to mention you look absolutely hot in it.” Jessica continued to say.

“Okay Jess, you are the expert at this stuff.” I said before going back into the dressing room. I returned the green dress to the rack and went to purchase the purple one.

“So…Who is he?” Jessica asked, walking next to me as we made our way to the little café that we always ate at.

“What guy?” I asked, playing dumb.

“The guy you bought all these new clothes for. Don’t get me wrong, I love shopping but seeing as I’m like your best friend I deserve to know who we are trying to impress here.”

“There is no guy.” I lied. “I just thought that I needed a change.”

“Uh-huh. Sure. Now I think I have an idea on of who this man could be.”

“Who??” I questioned, daring her to answer.

“Ja-a-a-a-mes!!!” She cooed, stretching out his name.

“Umm…NO” was all I said. I loved Jessica, don’t get me wrong, I loved her to death but sometimes she didn’t really think things through. Which at times like this it was kind of good.

“Don’t lie to me I know you like him.” She said as we sat down at the small café table. The waiter, who was really really good looking with his dark brown eyes and long blonde hair, came to take our order. I got my normal hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin where as Jessica got water. That had something to do with her watching her weight.

“Oh yeah right.” Was all she said. We continued my meal with a little small talk. I was zoning out when she got to the topic of Alexandria. She wouldn’t shut up about how pretty she was. I know the girl is gorgeous, but I don’t really need to hear it from everyone. I was still lost in thought as she kept babbling on and on.

“..And its so hard to believe that her and Steven are having problems….i thought he really liked her. But she doesn’t help, she is a complete bitch to him..”

“Whoa whoa, wait. They are having problems?” I asked, intrigued by the subject.

“Yeah, she hasn’t been really paying attention to him lately. I don’t know why but he seemed to do something that made her mad.”

“Do you know what he did?” I asked, a little to quickly. I mentally slapped myself and made a silent reminder to count to ten before answering.

“No I don’t actually, she hasn’t really been talking to me a lot. Its sad though. I thought they made a really cute couple.”

“Yeah that does suck.” I said trying not to sound to excited. I really have to get my emotions under control. “I hope they work it out.”

Walking into my bedroom I threw my bags down on my bed. I slammed down next to them with excitement. Knowing that they were having problems already would make my job so much easier. Now if I only knew what they were fighting about.

No need to waste time now. Its time to set my plan in motion. I grabbed my cellphone and texted some friends to meet me at the movies. Those friends just happen to include Steven. Well if he was going to be there, I needed someone to make him jealous so I also invited this guy Luis. He has had a huge crush on me for years so he jumped at the chance to go on this little date with me.

I sat down at my makeup counter and began to make myself beautiful for tonight. I decided on some charcoal black eye shadow mixed with a light gray. I did my lashes long and defined my eyes with onyx black eyeliner. I went to the bags of clothes I had just purchased and dumped them onto my bed.

I had to choose something not to revealing, but not to plain. Something to get Steven’s attention but that doesn’t make him get the wrong ideas. I grabbed a silky white shirt that had a v-cut neckline with a gray jacket over it. I paired that with a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and black heels. My brown hair hung down around my face in perfect ringlets.

Finally perfected, I grabbed my cell phone and left my room. Ready for tonight, and anxious to see what happens.
