22 - First Kiss

HYEONJI POV

It's been 2 weeks now...

Joshua's still ignoring me.

And I'm finally going to face The8.

I need to tell him my thoughts on his... confession.

So last week, I called him telling him to go meet me at a icecream parlor at the malls.

And here I am..

"Hyeonji!" The8 called

I saw The8 breathing heavily.

"K-Kwenchana? Why do you look so... exhausted?" I asked

"I.... ran... here" The8 said gasping for breath in between his words

"Mwoh? Why?" I asked

"I was.. nearby so.. I took a taxi but.. there was traffic so..." The8 puffed

"You... want some refreshments? I'll treat you" I said

The8 gulped the bottle of water down in seconds.

"Woah. You sure are... thirsty" I said in awe

"Hyeonji... What is it?" The8 said

I stared at him confusingly..

"What is it you want to talk about?" The8 asked

"Oh... right.. Umm I.. wanted to tell you my thoughts on... Your Confession" I said

There was a moment of silence.

"And? My answer?" The8 asked

"....I.. can't date you now. Especially.. not yet" I said

".......Why?" The8 asked

"Well, my heart isn't settled right now... so I want think about it more. You see, I'm not certain of my feelings. I don't know who I'm in love with right now or if I've fallen in love with anyone at all. I'm... just in a state of confusion right now so I would like some time! Please give me some time. Is... that okay?" I asked

The8 just stared at me seriously..

He's mad isn't he? I shut my eyes closed then felt a soothing touch patting my head

I opened my eyes and saw The8 smiling, stroking my hair.

"Alright. I'll let you think about it so we're breaking up as a fake couple" The8 decided

"Neh.. K-Kumawo.." I said feeling relieved

Okay.. now that I told The8, I can inform Joshua about the truth behind my "relationship" with The8.
