29 - Mingyu's Past III

MINGYU POV (Still Flashbacking)

Few days after the funeral, Doctor Jeon took a leave from the hospital to take care of us.

"Well then, I'm off the work guys" Noona said

"......Annyeong" I said waving goodbye

"See you later Unnie" Dasom

"Annyeong" Wonwoo said

"Take care of yourself.. Umm... Mian, what am I suppose to call you?" Noona said to Doctor Jeon

"......Call me whatever. Anything's fine.." Doctor Jeon said

"Neh..... Appa" Noona smiled then left

My eyes widened..

I looked at Doctor Jeon who's also shocked from what she said.

I saw tears overflowing down his cheeks..

Wonwoo grabbed onto his shirt.

"Appa, don't cry anymore" Wonwoo said

"M-Mianhe. I... just need to rest. Call me if you want anything. Food, drink, toys, just name it. I'll... buy it for you" Doctor Jeon said walking into his room

"O-Oppa" Dasom called

"Neh?" Wonwoo answered

"... Is.. um.. Appa alright?" Dasom asked

"...You're gonna call him that too?" Wonwoo asked

"M-Mian.. Am I not allowed to?" Dasom asked

"Aniyo.. You can. It's just.. I think it'll hurt Appa at the same time as making him happy" Wonwoo said

"I-I see.." Dasom frowned

"You can call him that. I don't mind" Wonwoo said

"....Oppa" Dasom said looking at me

"What is it?" I asked

"Umm... Do you need a tissue?" Dasom asked

"Huh? Why would I need..." I said then realised I was crying

I wiped my tears but more kept flowing..

"M-Mianhe.... I just... can't believe.. Omma's... not here with us anymore" I sniffled as I kept wiping my tears

"Oppa.. Omma's not gone. She's here... in here.." Dasom said touching her chest

"Dasom... How.. can you not cry?" I asked

"How? Hmm.. I don't. I do cry alot. It's just that you're a cry more than me" Dasom said

Cry more than her?

....Does that even make sense?

Years passed and Doctor Jeon is over his depression. He's going back to work and is happy with all of us. Slowly, without knowing, we all started calling him Appa Jeon.
