Don't Go

He didn't say anything. He just held still, with me in his arms. I knew he'd react like this.
"I'm sorry." I sobbed while pulling away from him. He just stared at me. "Please say something." Nothing."I'll go." I left the room, holding in my sobs. He didn't come after me. "What have I done?"
I'm such an idiot. I knew this would happen yet I ignored myself. I couldn't read the look on his face before I left. He kept moving his lips, but nothing came out.
I must have walked around the entire palace because I saw the sun was already starting to rise. I cried the entire time.
"Thank you so much for letting us in. We didn't mean to come so early, but the sun is already peaking." I heard a familiar voice say. I immediately rushed towards it and froze.
"Sofia?" Her head snapped towards me. Her hair was shorter, a lighter brown, and she looks much taller.
"Scarlett? Oh my God."She carefully handed the small child in her arms to who I assume is the father, and rushed towards me with her arms open.
"I've missed you so much." She said, her voice wavering a little.
"I've missed you." I said in tears.
"Uumm...Sofie? Babe? Who is this?" The man said, trying to silence the cooing baby boy in his arms.
Sofia cleared her throat before speaking. "Scarlett, this is Gabriel, my Beloved. And this is Tristan." She said as she gave the signal for him to hand the little one over to me.
He was still very small. He had his dad's eyes and Sofia's darker brown hair from before.
"He's so adorable. I'm so happy for you." I said and started crying again. Tristan stirred.
"Scar? What's wrong? You didn't hur-....are you...? Oh my god!! You are, aren't you?"
"What?" She smiled and gently gave Tristan to Gabriel. Then she whispered something in his ear and gave him a kiss before he left with the baby.
"Come with me." She said as she dragged me along the hallway.
She pulled me into a bar that Victors dad would usually come in to when he would visit.
"How did you know where to go?" She smiled and talled her nose. Wow.
She quickly made herself a drink with a few drops of blood and handed me a glass of bubbly water.
"How did you know?" I asked her.
"Well, you were crying even before you saw me and I can feel it. There's a small glow radiating off you. Even when your crying." I broke into sobs. She quickly embraced me and didnt say anything.
When I eventually stopped, I said. "I told him, and he didn't say anything." I sniffled. "He just stared at me. Oh god, he's probably so mad! He's not going to want me anymore. He's not going to want the baby!" I continued to sob as she held me, and eventually, she lead me to a room. "Whose room is this?"
"Nobody's. But I don't think you'd want to go back to yours." I nodded and sat on the bed, holding my head in my hands.
"What am I going to do?" She sighed and ran a hand through her hair.
"Just...stay away for a little while. He'll see the fact that you are not to blame. It's not either of you guy's faults." I smiled and wiped my tears away.
"Anyways, I have to go. Gabriel doesn't know how to change a diaper." I chuckled watched her away. "I'll be back in a few hours. I haven't slept all night and neither have you."
I crawled into the gray comforter. It was cold. It wouldn't be if Victor was here. But I can't run back to him. He needs to show me that he wants this. A family. If he doesn't....I don't know what will happen.
----
When I wake up, I see that it's 4:00 in the afternoon. Crying really drains you.
I got up, and looked at the bathroom mirror. I looked horrible. My eyes were swollen, my hair was messy, and my skin was red and blotchy. I washed my face and quickly brushed my teeth with a new toothbrush.
I took a long, well deserved shower. I used cold water for the swelling in my eyes, and warm for my body.
Then I just stood there. With a hand on my pudgy belly. There's a little baby in there. A mini me or Victor. I'm going to be a mother. And Victor is going to be a father...hopefully.
I got out and looked for anything that I can use as clothes. There wasn't much. Only t-shirts and slacks for men. I pulled a t-shirt over my head and a robe because I didn't have any underwear. That would be awkward to walk around. I was sitting on the bed while drying my hair with a towel when there was a knock on the door.
Slowly and carefully, I opened it. It could be Victor and I don't think I can see him without bursting into tears.
It was Sofia. She was holding a tray in her hands and smiling.
"You look better." She said cheerfully walking inside.
"Doesnt mean I feel better." I muttered. She frowned. "I'm sorry. I'm just feeling irritable."
"You're pregnant. Pregnant people are moody. Trust me, I know. I was on a rollercoaster with Tristan." She said waving her arms in the air. "Anyways, I thought you'd be hungry. So I brought you a bunch of lunch leftovers that the cooks made. You should try the sausages. They're soooo good."
"Have you seen Victor?" I asked quietly. She sighed and nodded.
"He's looking for you. And he's about to call every tracker he has to find you. He said something about you blocking the link from him."
"I'm not blocking anything." I said.
"Well, it's probably because your upset and your mind is naturally blocking things." She said and looked at her watch. "I have to go. They'll start asking questions about where I was. I won't tell them where you are. Love you." She said and left.
Now it was just me and food. I ate a little bit of it, but I wasn't really having an appetite. I felt like I was going to throw it up.
I think I'll just sleep a little bit more. I'm still tired.
I layed down, trying not to think of the fact that I'm having a baby or the thought of Victor not here, holding me, telling me everything's going to be ok and that he loves me. Ok, enough. I'm going to start crying again.
In the middle of my nap, I heard another knock on the door. Sofia must be here with more food.
I stood up, rubbing my face. I fixed my hair really quick and made my way to the door.
As soon as it was open, Victor rushed inside with his hands gripping my waist. He shut the door with his foot, causing me to flinch. Before I could utter a word, he slammed his lips on mine in a passionate, heart fluttering kiss. My arms instinctively wrapped around his neck and my lips moved with him. I know I should be talking to him, but we don't need to. This kiss is telling me everything.
A few tears slipped out of my eyes. My back was against the bedpost and his lips were still on mine.
He suddenly pulled away and wrapped his big warm arms around me. Tears were still falling, but I wasn't sobbing.
I needed him to tell me he was still going to be with me. And that we're going to raise the baby.
I hope he's not ashamed and the only reason he's doing it is to make me happy. Or maybe his reputation as a king. If that's the case then I'll leave on my own.
"Don't you ever think that I'm ashamed of you." He growled. "I'm happy that we're having a baby. That I'm having a baby with you. I was drunk and surprised last night. I wasn't angry." He said while wiping my tears away. "I was so worried when I couldn't find you. I thought someone had taken you away from me again. You and the baby." I placed my head on his chest and sniffled. "Everything's going to be alright. I'll be with you every step of the way. I love you Scarlett."
"I love you Victor." I was still crying. He always knows what to say.
"Why are you still crying, my love?" I laughed a little.
"I'm happy. They're happy tears." I said in a low voice. He smiled and picked me up bridal style.
"Let's get ready. We have a doctor's appointment."
-----
"Well, the baby's healthy." Doctor Welke said as she set down the small wand that showed us the baby. It wasn't much yet, but you can see a little dot the size of the pad on your thumb. "And the reason for the stomach pains are because of the baby growing so quickly. Because your child is of royal Alpha blood, you will give birth in 4 months. Alpha, you will have to be around her twenty-four hours of every day. Without you, she'll grow weak and she will most likely have a miscarriage. Make sure she eats enough for both, be careful while doing anything physical and get plenty of rest." She smiled.
"Thank you so much. How's Jack been?" I asked.
She smiled at the mention of his name. "Jack is great. He's all healed up and moving like normal. Anyways, your next appointment is in one week from today, Luna."
"Good. Thank you again. And call me Scarlett please." She nodded and handed me a bottle of pills.
"What are these for?" Victor asked, sounding suspicious.
"They're to support the growth and development of the baby, Alpha. They'll also help keep her strong throughout her pregnancy." She said and nervously tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Alright. Thank you." He wrapped an arm around my waist and walked me out. When we were outside, he froze.
"Wait here, I need to ask her something." Before I could say something, he dashed for her office. I'm hungry and I'm not going to wait here for him. As quickly as I can, I get to the kitchen. Sofia, Gabriel, Tristan, Maria and Nick are there talking. I got straight to the fridge and take out the spaghetti and garlic bread Maria had made me a couple days ago.
"You look so much happier." Sofia said from behind me. "You told him?" I smiled and said yes.
"Told, who, what?" Nick said walking up behind Sofia. I instantly became nervous and started mumbling a stupid answer. "Scar, don't lie to me." He said sternly.
"Thats funny, because last time I checked, you were not my daddy." After the words left my mouth, arms wrapped around my waist and Victor's head muzzled my neck.
"Because I'm your daddy." He whispered in my ear. I shivered and giggled.
"Thats gross." Nick said with a disgusted face. I rolled my eyes.
"You know you're no better." He was about to protest, but Maria held a finger to his lips.
"Don't lie." She remarked. Sofia bent over laughing and so did I. She's got him on a leash. And tight one.
"We have something to tell all of you." Victor said proudly. He pulled me closer and seta hand on my belly. "Scarlett?"
I nervously cleared my throat and stuttered. "We're having a baby." Obviously, Maria and Sofia knew. But they acted like they were surprised. When Gabriel gave me a congratulatory hug, Victor kept a grip on my hips.
Everyone was congratulating and hugging me. All except Nick. He just stared at me blankly and left.

I know it's not the best chapter, but it's been a while since I've updated. Not many people have been reading, but a few of you loyal ones have. Thank you.
If you've read my other story, The Alpha's Abused Mate, you'll know why I haven't updated in a while.
If you haven't, my grandpa died. I've been distracted and my mom is grieving. And seeing her cry makes me cry.
I'll update again soon, hopefully.
Bye.
