Marc was dombfounded. Did he seriously say 1600 years!? But when you think about it, this whole situation is so strange it had to be true.
Nick casually continued: "After this struggle the eleven remaining houses deleted all evidence of our house even existing, and took away all of our land and corporations. They continues this scheme until all forgot about us, and it looked like as if we never even existed. However, in these 1600 years I have prepared everything that is needed for the next progenitor, even acquiring a second bloodline to be transferred. I will talk about that later. But first, let me tell you of your new world. This world and the world which magic originates from are quite different. The world you are in now was created by the magic world around 6 million years ago, but we don't know what methods they used. This world was created by the people who could wield magic to safely keep the people without magic. In their time, they truly cared for the ones without magic, as opposed to most of them now who think they're near gods. But that is another topic. What you should know that the world of magic you now belong to is in a state of silent war. The countries over the world are competing in tournaments, but those are in reality for checking the future strength of the nations, and of the regions within. There are a lot of undercover actions between the magic schools in the country, and this affect the tournaments. It has to be said, spies under the students are generally only sent away, because if they were to die war would be so much closer."
Nick paused for a moment and looked at Marc for a while. Marc didn't dare to say a word. This world was actually a creation by ancient techniques? And above that, he now belonged to another world. It was a lot to take in at once. Before he could think about this however, Nick continued his story.
"The schools compete for being the strongest, and they all teach the same topics, varying from controlling magic to alchemy to fighting techniques and weaepon training. You will be attending the school I work at, the White Light's Magic Institute. You will receive your education there. We will have to make many preparations for you to actually go there, but I will take care of that for you. You will attend school with all the other students in the region, including members of the branch of the eleven Houses we just casually slayed the immortals from. No need to be scared though, you will not be seen as someone from the twelfth house. I will protect your idendity. You, as the lord of the house now, have unlimited access to all the resources available in the house. You have a personal dimension, which has been lifted out of time and space, with the Main Building and all the other buildings sealed in it. You have access to all the money, weapons, treasures, magic tools, armors, books, grimoires, and all sorts of other things. By the way, the first thing we need to do now is check your affinity, soul shape, Bloodline and Hidden Arts."
Marc was quite pleased hearing all this. He was rich now! And he owned a dimension?! The downside of course, was that those people wanted to kill him.
Nick calmy continued after taking our a black crystal.
"Your bloodline is something that you can acquire and inherit, both at the same time. Your bloodline can determine your growth rate, traits, and affinity. Your affinity gives you more or less synergy with an element. The twelve elements are Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Sword, Light, Dark, Aether, Create, Void and Death. These elements compose all of the skills we have in our world. It is a basic rule of magic. Some magics cannot be combined with a drawback, like Fire and Water. If you fight with elemental power, you can create steam. However, if you create an orb of those elements, in pure form, it will destroy your own magic, with massive repercussion. Only if you manage to create perfect balance, you can use opposite elements with great power. Your soul shape determines what basically the "Nature" of your soul is, and your Hidden arts are available or not depending on Bloodline and soul shape. This crystal can determine all of that for you. I'll continue talking after this.
