{ Chapter 12~ Story time.}

We left and went home only to find that everybody was still awake and waiting up for us, we walked in hand in hand and I saw the smirks form on everybody's faces. We closed the door and Luke wrapped his arms around my waist, after I had cuddled in to Luke we talked before we both started to fall asleep so we deicides to come home.

"So.....what did use kids do?"

"Four things, first, Kaelin I'm older do shut it. Second, stop looking at me like that. Third, we didn't do anything so get your minds out of the gutter and fourth Calum is hiding something from all of us.....Joanne told me"

I almost screamed out while everybody turned to look at Calum while I pointed at him, his eyes went wide and I smirked as everybody crowded him, I tugged on Luke's hand and nodded up stairs. I got changed and walked back in to my room where Luke had stripped down to just his boxers, I slipped in to bed and he wrapped his arm around my waist.

"Why were you placed in Calum's parents care?"

I twisted in his grip and looked up at him, although it is dark his eyes still shone.

"When I was younger my mom use to get really drunk and hit me, my dad got arrested for pushing my mum away to hard, when he was let out on bail he sent me to my aunt Joys cause he knew she'd keep me safe, I was only two and had already been in hospital more then a cancer patient. My dad saved my life"

He nodded his head rested his head on top of mine, I rested my cheek on his chest.

"Why did your mom take you? And what happened to Wai?"

I took in a deep breath, I hated my mom from the beginning, even after my dad sent me away I use to get phone calls getting amused by her saying I ruined her marriage and how useless I was, she did the same with Waitangirua, Wai got more phone calls after my grandparents wouldn't give home up so I took the liberty of buying him a new phone and breaking my mums old one.....she had no contact with Wai until the start of this year.

"Because my mum wanted me to live with her, I needed my mum and I should be with family. I got in to some bad shit at school because of her, fights, smoking, drugs, alcohol. It became so bad that I admitted myself in to rehab to stop everything from happening, that was just before I gave birth to Melody and I was thankful I did, it changed My life and by the end of school I was at the top of all my classes"

I smiled to myself, I hated my mum for doing what she did to me and I still do, she will never change and has always been a useless mother.

"You've been through a lot...."

I nodded and started to drift off to sleep, he kissed my head.

"I will protect you from now on Ararangi"

I opened my eyes and looked up at him, I kissed his jaw and he looked down at me.

"Thank you"

He lent down and was about to kiss me when the door opened, I sat up to see Melody sucking her thumb with wet cheeks.

"What's wrong baby?"

She pushed the door shut and ran up to my bed and climbed on, she on my lap and in my arms while I held her against my chest.

"Bad dweam. Bad bad dweam"

I cooed her to sleep and held her against my chest, I turned to Luke who was silent beside me.

"Your a good mother"

"I brought up my mums kids"

He nodded, I went to climb out of bed to put Melody back in her bed when Luke grabbed my arm and shook his head.

"Leave her with us"

I smiled and laid down, Luke moved her to the middle of us so he was holding both myself and Melody, I felt safe, I felt like a family.

"Goodnight my girls"

That made my heart flutter, I smiled and leaned over placing a butterfly kiss on his cheek, then one on Melody's.

"Goodnight Hemmings"

I heard him chuckle before I drifted off in to a dreamless sleep.
