⚰Misty's P.O.V⚰

Goodnight!" I called down the stairs.

"Night love!" My mom shouted.

I walked into my bedroom and jumped onto my bed.

"Ahhhh" I let out as I stretched across the queen sized bed.

I got off the bed and opened up the covers slipping my body underneath them.

I snuggled myself deep into the covers so that my body was enclosed between the warm sheets.

I yawned a bit and closed my eyes.

They fluttered back open and stared into the darkness of the night from my window.

I watched the branches and leaves of the widow tree outside.

It swayed as the cool breeze moved it elegantly.

I felt a smile creep onto my face.

I kept watching the tree until my eyes grew lazy.

I let myself drift into a deep sleep...

My eyes immediately opened.

I could hear sobs coming from outside my house.

I sat up and continued to hear the small cries.

I lifted the covers off my body and turned my body to the side, letting my legs dangle off the bed.

I lifted myself up and walked towards my bedroom door.

I heard footsteps coming down the hall.

I carefully opened my door peeking my head out,

"Mom?" I whispered.

I looked both ways of the hall not revealing any sign of anyone.

I crept into the dimmed hallway.

"Mother?" I whispered once again.

There was still no response.

I crept a bit closer towards the door on the opposite side of the hallway from my bedroom.

From the little slit underneath the door I could see different colors flashing.

I tiptoed to the door and lifted the cold bronze handle, cracking the door a bit open.

As I looked in, I saw my peaceful mother on her bed cuddled in between  her velvet sheets.

I looked over and saw her tv still turned on.

I giggled a bit to myself and walked into the small room.

I squatted down and turned the blaring tv off.

It was pitched black in her room now.

I tiptoed back to the door and walked out, closing the door carefully behind me.

I went back down the hallway but was stopped by another sob.

I turned back around and made my way down the broad staircase.

"Danny?" I called out as I reached the last step of the stairs.
