Frenemies

Chapter 1

~6th grade~

Melissa's POV

I got up from hearing my annoying alarm clock. I got up took a shower and brushed my hair, my teeth and did my routine. I put some skinny jeans on and a black shirt that said jet black heart and green sneakers.

"Mel hurry your gonna be late," my mom said from downstairs.

"I'm coming ," I yelled back

I ran down stairs, got my bag and an apple and ran out to the bus.

We arrived at the school and I walked in and saw a girl getting beat up. And this other girl with 2 more girls with her kicking this girl in the face.

I run to them and push the girl off of her. I got in front of the girl and pushed her back and she fell on the other girls. She got back up and punched me and I just layed there. They walked away so I got up a little.

"Are you okay," I said to the girl who just got beat up.

"Yeah I'm used to it,it happens every where I go," she said back. "I'm Sky'lenn."

"I'm Melissa", I said to her."So what did you mean by everywhere u go."

"Well ever since my parents got back on drugs well they fight a lot and I hate it so when they do I'll try to run away but they catch me hand hit me," she said crying.

"Wanna be best friends," we said at the same time.

"Sure!" We both said.

We both hugged each other tightly like we were never going to let go.

We both headed to class. When we walked in, it was a nightmare. Crumpled up balls of paper are being constantly thrown across the room and paper airplanes are being flew across by students standing on their desks. There was no teacher in sight.

The teacher finally walked in and yelled as loud as he possibly could and everybody just sat there in shock.

We both rushed to our seats to the two desks that were right next to each other.

"Hey everyone. My name is Mr. Horan and welcome to sixth grade. Today we are going to read the class syllabus. All of you guys are like Flappy Bird. Really fucking annoying." Mr. Horan said.

"Ohhhh shit." Sky mouthed.

It was finally time for lunch and Sky and I were really thankful. As we were walking to the cafeteria, we got stopped by the same girls that beat up Sky earlier.

"What the fuck are you doing back here?" One of the girls said.

"I go to this school." I said. Ha, what a dumbass. "And don't say that, that is a bad word!" Sky shouted.

"I can say whatever the fuck I want you dumb bitch." She said sarcastically.

The girls pushed Sky and I to the floor and started punching us. Our faces started getting black and purple bruises and pain we didn't want to have.

"Hey. Leave them the fuck alone!" Two boys shouted furiously."

The girls stopped punching us and ran off.

"Hey are you okay?" One boy said, as they both reached out there hands to pull us back off the floor.

"Yeah," we both said.

"My name is Cameron Dallas and this is my best friend Hayes Grier." He pointed at the second boy.

"Well, its nice to meet you two." We all smiled.

"We should eat lunch together yeah?" Hayes said.

"Sure!" We both said at the same time.

Cameron's eyes met mine and Hayes' eyes met Sky's.

"Hey uh Sky?" I asked her.

"What Mel?" Sky said.

"I just know that those two boys are going to change our lives forever."
