Anders sat on the bed stunned or how he would later describe as scared shitless. He gulped nervously, the forest green eyes watched him unreadably, his hair had grown a little and he looked a bit taller but it was still... Fenris, which meant... Maker he was screwed.

Fenris lunged at Anders punching him square in he jaw.
"Ok I deserved that." Anders said croakily
"yes you did fucking deserve that!" Fenris yelled

Anders held up his hands in surrender but then put them down again he coughed nervously in his hand.
"Ugh Fenris... Your shirt." Anders awkwardly stated.

Fenris made a disgusted noise and pulled his shirt back on. Then he turned his back on Anders.
Anders looked at Fenris mumbling something that had to do with 'fucking mages' but Anders wasn't 100% sure.
Fenris turned around and glared at Anders.
"Nothing! No mages rights rant! No abusive names! Nothing?" Fenris scowled.
"I honestly didn't think you'd want to be called any names elf. I haven't seen you for a year and you think that the first thing I'd do is call you an abusive name?" Anders retorted.

Fenris continued to scowl then turned around and stormed out of the room. Anders was left sitting on the bed speechless.

#########

Fenris was past the half way point on the thin road when he figured out he had left all of his armour and weapons back at the tavern, being too stubborn to go back and get his belongings from that... Abomination (also it would be humiliating, but Fenris wasn't going to count that point).

He stubbornly kept walking even though it was the moronic thing to do seeing as thugs and slavers roamed these parts looking to either take you to a magister or steel what little belongings you have. Fenris kept walking for another hour and it was tarting to get dark, when his bad luck caught up to him... Again.
He was ambushed by thieves , about ten of them surrounding him in all sides, the effort to protect himself was fruitless without weapons and armour.

They all held daggers in their hands and in the dim light they glinted like the teeth of a dragon smiling viciously. They all darted forward as quickly as vipers and unfortunately for Fenris they all hit their target, except for one unlucky thief who had his heart ripped out by Fenris' glowing hand.

Fenris turned round with multiple wounds and was, by some miracle of the maker able to take down all ten of he thieves single handedly. Once he ripped out the last thieves heart his brands stopped glowing and he finally felt the effects of all of his wounds. He was bleeding, badly and there was no help, anywhere. He struggled down the highway back to the small town in hope someone charitable would find him and help. He didn't make it pretty far till he fell down on the ground with a grunt of pain. Fenris' vision blurred and he saw a figure in the distance holding something, before he had anytime to look he passed out on the ground.

########

When Fenris left Anders sat on the bed unable to move, he wasn't sure if it was the shock of seeing an old companion or the initial shock of the companion being Fenris.
Anders looked around himself then over to the floor where fenris had been five minutes ago and saw all of Fenris' armour and the sword the Hawke had given him. Anders groaned internally knowing that the blighted elf would never come back for his belongings and Anders also knew there were slavers and thugs riddled on all of the roads from there to the Anderfells.

Anders grabbed Fenris' stuff and looked through a black coat's pockets and found twelve gold in the right pocket.
"Maybe he took varrics advice and started pickpocketing." And suggested to himself, but heard a disapproving growl from justice.
Anders strapped on Fenris' sword and went down to the tavern and bought new robes making sure they had feathers on them then set off to find Fenris.
.......

Anders had been walking up a winding path that he had guessed Fenris had taken, he'd been walking for two hours and just when he was about to give up when he saw the familiar glint of crystal white hair, Anders ran over Fenris' sword in hand and saw that Fenris had multiple knife wounds and was bleeding out, fast.

Anders healing instincts kicked in and he was about to heal Fenris but then stopped remembering how much Fenris hated magic, instead he lent down and picked up Fenris who was nocked out cold. Anders held him bridal-style and carried him along the pathway, it was too far to get back to the village so instead he found a small cave he rested Fenris down gently and made sure no one was secretly stalking the caves.

Once he quickly searched the caves he went back over to Fenris and looked around for some sort of fabric to use as a bandage but the only suitable thing was anders under shirt, grudgingly Anders tore off his shirt and wrapped it tightly around Fenris' waist.

Anders looked at Fenris for the first time in what felt like ages, his hair was still then same if not a bit longer, his skin was still dark tan and tattooed as Anders searched Fenris' face for any sign of health Anders eyes slowly drifted down to Fenris' lips, they were so... Close, Anders could just...

"Ugh Mage?" Fenris' gravelly voice cut through the air.
Anders pulled back as if he'd been burnt.
"I... Ugh... Um... Fenris can... Can... I heal you?... With ugh magic i mean" Anders stumbled over his words like a two year old.

"No.. No... Magic." Fenris said between shallow breaths before passing out again.
Anders prayed to a God that he wasn't sure existed that Fenris would forget... Whatever he just witnessed.

Anders sighed and rubbed his head with his palm, no magic which meant he had to heal the wounds with stitches which would be a bitch to find, and he'd also have to prod a needle into Fenris, the angsty broody elf that had punched him not eight hours ago.

Anders sighed again when justice's ramblings got louder and louder in his head. "We cannot leave him here he would surely die with out us and that would unjust" Anders agreed but didn't tell justice that.
Anders decided he would at least get some sleep before he went out in search of injury kits and Heath potions.

Anders laid down and fell asleep to the sound of dark spawn and justice's humming something about lyrium songs.
