Anders sat up and looked at Fenris tiredly almost as if he was about to open up a very boring book, "I guess it all started when I burnt down my fathers barn, you know I never Had a childhood like all the other mages in the circle, half of them don't even remember what it's like to be free, but I never forgot. When I was dragged away from my mother with only a hand-sewed pillow to remember her by I swore I would get out and see her again."

"They took me to the circle when I was twelve, they asked me my name and I didn't answer so they just started calling me Anders, imagine if you were a small kid surrounded by massive Templars in big scary armour and older mages that have never even dreamt about leaving the circle because the idea was foreign to them you'd be scared shitless as well."

"When I tried to escape it had been six months and they caught me in two days, they asked me why I ran and all I could reply was that I wanted to go home."

"Anyway after two more escape attempts one involving a rope of undergarments and another involving a blushing Templar named Cullen, we were told we were going to be taught how to swim, I carefully panned an escape that would banned the very thought of mages swimming for another two ages. We were told to stand along the bay and watch but they needed a volunteer, and out of all those kids they picked me." Anders chucked to himself.

"They put me in a freezing cold lake and expected me to teach the other kids to swim while they watched, but as soon as they put me in the lake, I swam as far and as fast as my legs and arms could go. I made it all the way across the lake and winded up on the shore I was breathless and I just laid there in the shore, I looked up and saw two big Templars watching me with huge grins. When I got back the Templars and mages were laughing there heads off."

"I escaped two more times before my last half hearted escape and the Templars locked me in solitude for a year..." He trailed off looking at nothing in particular, Fenris knew that six months in solitude could drive a full grown man insane he didn't even want to know how Anders coped for a solid year.

"I didn't know what was in store for me... The Templars they came at night and... Did stuff to me." Anders said shakily.
Anders didn't have to elaborate Fenris already knew what that 'stuff' was. he'd had to deal with that when denarius was his master.

"Locked away for a year, with only a cat for company, I can't really recall what mr wiggems looked like or... Anything about him really I just know he was there, he was there? Mr wiggems turned into a rage demon and took out four guards and helped me escape."

Templars found me in a stronghold but they were too late hurlocks came. killed them and I killed the hurlocks, then the wardens found me. It all looked very suspicious, I was surrounded by dead Templars and darkspawn, and as i burnt down the very last hurlock I turned round and saw a small little dwarf in warden armour. She turned to me and... Smiled, she was covered in blood dead monsters all abounded her, and she... Smiled at me. She said her name was Korra and then asked me if I wanted to live and if so I should follow her. She turned around and decapitated a darkspawn with her massive two handed sword.on the way out we found a smelly dwarf called oghren who was actually not bad company and We fought our way out of the fortress and by some miracle we survived."

"And there to greet me once we got out, was a Templar, and the queen. Well technically the queen was there for the commander and the Templar was there for me, but Korra looked the Templar straight in the eyes and smiled sweetly and simply said, dibs." Anders shook his head smiling for the first time in what felt like years.

"We were told to attend the wardens joining, which is drinking a big cup of I can't tell you what and oghren the blighted dwarf grabs the cup and drinks it then belches and then asked for more. I wasn't so fortunate, I fell to the ground with crazy warden visions and all." Anders explained waving his hands around.

"After we met some companions, Nate a rouge prince much like Sebastian but better and more handsome and not a chantry kid, sigrun a thieving dwarf who was a legionare, oghren a sassy drunken dwarf that somehow always smelled like piss,a dalish named Velanna who hated 'shems' and was nothing like merrill. And justice, but justice wasn't like what he is now, he was once pure, we met him in the fade and he was so... Righteous, he was nothing like me and he was cast out to the mortal realm forced into a decaying body of a dead warden that we were looking for named Kristof." Anders sadly shook his head, and Fenris moved his legs so he could rest his chin on his knees.

" poor barstard he didn't know anything about the 'mortal realm'. There was a big battle and Kristof or justice in kristof's body, was decapitated, but spirits can linger outside the fade, I went back to the wardens but then I came across justice he was scared and confused. I... Let him posses me.... I did it because he was my friend but my... Hate it changed him, broke him, in our arrogance justice became vengeance and I merged with vengeance and justice, I couldn't... I was too weak... I could've stopped him...us... I used to be so different... Cocky a smartass, flirty... maker Fenris...what happen to me?" Anders curled in on himself and shook.

Anders looked up he had stopped shaking but his face was year streaked and his eyes were red.
"You must be loving this, I bet your just waiting for me to become a demon so you can finally kill me." Anders chuckled mirthlessly.

Fenris made Anders look at him in the eyes, "Mage I never wanted to kill you." He declared sternly.
"But you..." Anders protested.
"No... I didn't hate you I hated your support Mage speeches, and the dem- vengeance." Fenris growled.

"I never cared about mages plight, I never cared for mages at all, except Hawke, but now I swear I'm going to kill every Templar I see. They will pay." Fenris stated simply, right now he could put aside that Anders was a Mage, hearing Anders story reminded Fenris of his own life, taken from his family, forced to do... Things, hunted for his whole life. As much as Fenris hated to say it Anders and him were uncomfortably alike.

"You know Fenris if we weren't in a dirty mice ridden cave and if I wasn't crying if find that statement endearing." Anders jested weakly.

Anders stood up slowly and walked over to his side of the cave and Fenris laid down on the uncomfortable stone.

"Fenris could you promise me something?" Anders questioned from the other side of the cave

"It depends." Fenris answered not moving.
"If vengeance takes over could you... Could you kill me."
"If that is my only option. For now I will follow you in case vengeance does make an appearance" Fenris stated
"But-" Anders was about to elaborate.

"Goodnight Mage." Fenris deadpanned. Then drifted into a restless sleep.
