Obsessing with Werewolf stories lately :O I love the whole rejected thing and comes back stronger, and I know it's a cliche but I love these. :) Enjoy! <3
Chapter 1 : The Rejected Wolf.
I ran through the woods without looking back. I knew the patrol areas and I knew to avoid them if I wanted to escape. Leaving a brief note thrown without a care on my desk and most of my belongings, what little I had, thrown into a black beat up suitcase. Our territory was quite big in a sense but for those who have lived here all our lives, we knew when the territory ended and how far to leave before tracing is hard to do. Finally at the edge of the woods dragging my suitcase in a mad dash to freedom I heard yelling, yelling and howling. I didn't care at all, all I wanted to do was get out of here.
3 hours before
I was never a popular person. I was average, average in the way that no one seemed to care about me. My family would be the best example of that since they made me feel this way all the time. My dad was the Beta of our pack, kind of like the right hand man, our pack being werewolves. No there's no full moon only changing and stuff about fighting vampires, it was a simple life with the rare rouge intruder which rarely changed into a fight.
Since being a Beta means you expect your child to take your place when of age, or when the Beta retires. Now for my family. My dads name is James Adams, the current Beta. My moms name was Jane Adams. The oldest, my brother will be the Beta-to-be, Jake Adams and my older sister Jaina. My older siblings were in one word, popular. They hung out in the same crowd and belittled almost everyone not in their social standing. My name is Isabelle Adams, I don't usually use my last name for anything, and no one really calls me anything, they just sort of ignore me.
I walked through the crowds getting a push or shove here or there as I got to my locker and put away all my books. I was lucky to not have any homework since it was only a Thursday. I slung my bag over my shoulder and made my way out to my brothers truck. Which was gone, I let out the breath of air I was holding in a puff before crossing the parking lot to my sisters car. She stood there in front of her car and another as she laughed with her friends. Another guy turned his head as I almost fell right over.
"Mate." I said losing the air in my lungs. My wolf stirred under the surface as I still hadn't shifted yet. 6 pairs of eyes flicked to me, my sisters, my mates, and their 4 friends. My sister stopped talking to stare at me with a slightly open mouth.
Hearing a low growl I was surprised to see my mate take the three small steps towards me lifting an arm. I was thinking that he was going to embrace me in a hug, I was totally thrown off guard when he grasped my shoulder tightly, surly leaving a bruise.
"Don't say anything." He growled lightly. "I have no mate."
"I'm your ma--" He gripped my shoulder tighter.
"Don't you finish that sentence." I flinched finally as he threw me back against the pavement, my palms burned knowing I skinned them. Since werewolves heal fast I had no worry about my palms but what worried me is what was going to happen next.
"I have no mate." He repeated again casting a hard look down at me. My sister stood smiling as my mate walked back to her, wrapping an arm around her waist.
"You're not fit to be my mate, and a sorry excuse for a shewolf like yourself will never be fit to be the Luna." He laughed as tears pricked the back of my eyes. "I could have any girl I want, I would never choose you." He pulled my sister Jaina into him cupping her ass in his hands right in front of me. I could only watch as they laughed together.
I don't even remember how I got home, how I left the parking lot, or if anyone was even home when I ran to my bedroom in the attic. My vision was now clouded with tears made me stumble and fall to my knees with a loud and resounding 'thud'. If you expected someone to come up here and be caring and wondering why I was crying, you're wrong. No one cared about me and my name proved that. With everyone with a J- starting their names and mine starting with an I. I was obviously the odd one out.
My parents didn't want another child after Jaina was born, so when they found out mom was pregnant with me, they were disappointed. Jake and Jaina took after the dominant family traits with their dark brown hair and bright green eyes. I had the same bright green eyes but with flecks of yellow and dark blue. They were small and almost unnoticeable unless you really got a good look. I also had the brown hair, but a very light brown. I don't know how long I had been crying or sitting on the floor but it was pretty dark out.
I grabbed the old and beat up black suitcase throwing it open on my small tattered bed. I grabbed the clothes that still fit me and threw them in as I ran to the small bathroom and grabbed the toilet tank cover placing it quietly on the ground before pulling the small string to get the plastic bag out of the tank.
I had saved any bit of money I could in hopes of leaving this place and moving far, far away. I opened the bag and grabbed the wad of cash. Barley over 800 dollars but still a good amount. I didn't have a computer and frankly werewolves didn't really need them so I wrote my message on a piece of paper. It wasn't long. It was straight to the point.
No one seems to care. No one seems to bother. Anything I do, or say is ignored. I'm tired of being ignored and I'm tired of having to deal with all of the psychological abuse and since you've never cared about me, I'm giving you the best situation. You don't have to worry anymore. I hate this life and I hate this family. Goodbye.
I threw the note behind me as I walked down the stairs. I hadn't shifted yet so I knew I should sneak into the kitchen and grab some food. I slung a messenger bag across my torso shoving 3 granola bars, 2 bottles of water and a pack of licorice I had hidden behind all the high calorie foods that no one in the family would ever have. I quickly ran out and pulled my suitcase along with me. I hid behind some trees seeing my sisters black convertible sped down the road with laughter flooding out. I quickly got out and ran to the school building. They didn't need security with the school half full of werewolves.
I quickly ran to my locker opening it to grab the spare change of clothes tossing them into my bag before booking it out of the school.
Present Time
I had been running for 2 days already and I was nearing my limit. I dropped my bag almost falling beside it as a constant buzz filled my head. A constant throbbing pain overtook the buzz as I felt my limbs burning, a gasp for air escaped my lungs as I curled up into a ball. I knew what was happening. I was shifting.
"SHIT!" Someone yelled as I gasped for air, clutching at my throat feeling my lungs constrict. I felt like I was dying. A rough hand pushed me onto my back as they felt for my pulse.
"We need the doctor!" He yelled again as I heard footsteps running towards me.
"She's shifting." Another voice spoke as they tried to keep me from curling further into a ball.
"No sweetie, let your body stretch, don't curl up." They pulled at my arms and legs. Everyone knew not to curl up when your shift, you have to stretch and let your bones crack and shift into your wolf form.
Feeling the fabric of my jeans stretch and start to rip, a cry escaped my throat. I could hear the bones crack and knew that the first shift would hurt the most, the pain was very strong. Feeling my bones merge into place and the warm tingling sensation over my limbs I knew I had shifted.
I opened my eyes seeing the blurry views of people. A girl and 2 guys stood while an older woman crouched by my head. The guys had shorts on with no shirt as the girl had short and a t-shirt.
"She's shifted, hurry and take her inside. If she's a stray we need to get fluids into her. A strong arm picked me up off the now cold and hard earth floor.
"She's light." He spoke softly before I blacked out.
That's it! I hope you like the first chapter. I like it well enough... O_O Please comment and tell me what you think. (: I'll be writing chapter 2 soon! :O
