It's been 5 weeks since Nathan has got his voice back and I went back to England to see Jess.

It was all going great until I had a drunken phone call from Nath:

"Babe I'm with Becky woo!, I think we shouldn't be together any more. Okay I'm gonna got get another vodka, bye"

Those words broke my heart, I loved Nathan.

I'm staying with Jess and her family. I went up to the spare room to check my twitter on my mac book, I checked my phone first,

1new message from Nathan, I played the voice mail.

"Erm, Lacey, I've messed up big time, I love you so much, I need you, here with me, now, please forgive me" his voice cracked and I could tell he was crying, I hated not being with Nathan, I needed to move on, I deleted the message and another one came through.

"Look babe, I know you don't wanna talk to me, but I want you to reply more than anything, I miss you so much. I don't think I've ever been this upset. Please babe" I decided to reply.

"Look Nath, you said it yourself you don't think we should be together anymore, I miss you too, I love you, I think we should just move one, I'll see you again sometime, bye Nath" I sent the message and I couldn't stop crying, I wasn't in the mood to do anything.

I just cried

And cried.

And cried.

*Nathan's POV*

"I think we should move on, I'll see you again sometime, bye Nath" Lacey's sad voice crackled through the phone.

My heart broke, I threw my phone across the room, ran my fingers through my hair, what the hell have I done again. I can't move on.

Tom knocked my door, "mate you okay" he asked, "Lacey's gone Tom, she doesn't want to be with me anymore, I miss her, how stupid am I" I said. "Very" he replied. "But if you want to be together you have to get her"

I did the only thing I could think of, I packed an over night bag and made an emergency trip to the airport to get the soonest flight from New York to Gloucester.

Many hours later and numerous texts to Jess about Lacey I arrived at our family house.

I knocked the door and an emotional looking Lacey answered, wearing a tshirt of mine I gave her a few months back, she smiled weakly and let me inside.

"Come upstairs" I said, taking her hand and leading her upstairs.

I took her into my room, she sat on the end of my bed and I slammed the door shut.

I went over to her and kissed her forehead softly, "I got a flight from New York to here just to tell you how much I need you" I said, she blushed.

"Nath-" she began, I smashed my lips onto hers and we kissed for a while. She soon pulled away. "It's not as easy as you want it to be, you can't just show up here, kiss me, then expect everything to be better Nath"

Her eyes brimmed with tears, "sh, don't cry babe" I whispered wrapping my arms around her, "what's wrong?" I said. "I want everything to be better Nath, but what you did-" "was the biggest mistake of my life" I interrupted her, "that's why I've got this" I pulled out a sterling sliver ring with an infinity sign on, "like it Lacey?"

"Love" she smiled, damn I loved that smile of hers.

"Good babe," I said kissing her forehead, "how about tomorrow I take you out for a coffee in the new little cafe in town then I take you shopping"

"One chance Nathan, we're not back together yet, tomorrow is your last chance to prove to me that we should be together. I love you Nath, but what's the point when we split up over the stupidest things" she said.

"Deal" I smiled.

She lay down in my bed and pulled the covers over her, she was so beautiful, without her make up, without the fancy clothes, just being Lacey is the most beautiful thing in the world, I really love her.

I got in bed next to her, she rolled over to face me, "are you sure you wanna sleep with me tonight?" I whispered. "Nath, it's not like it's unusual" she said, she was right.

She moved closer and rest her head in my chest, I sent kisses down her neck as we both drifted off to sleep, cuddled together.
