I woke up in the back seat of the truck. Leo and Ebony were in the front chatting while we drove along.

“ Ten minutes Wills then we arrive.” Ebony said without turning to look at me.

“ I swear every time you and Sascha meet you end up knocked out.” Leo chuckled.

“ Its not my fault. Our personalities are different and we just collide and his super-human powers overpower my magic. Wait until I’m a full witch in two years.” I smiled.

“ I think you should try not argue with him. After all he is in charge.” Ebony reminded me.

I shrugged and instead watched the scenes passing outside my window.

Leo gasped when a large iron gate came into view. On the gate the letters C and M were visible in small swirls. Crescent Moon.

Ebony stopped the truck and jumped out to a man who obviously recognised her. After chatting for about ten minutes Ebony got back into the truck.

“ Dan is going to open the gate for us.” She giggled as she put the truck into gear.

She wink at Dan as we drove past.

“ Ebony…you dropped something.” Ebony looked at me expectantly. “ Your dignity.” I sneered.

Ebony reached back to try swat me.

“ I think its sweet.” Leo interjected.

Ebony then nattered about her school years as we drove toward the castle-like building I assumed to be Constellation School of Witchcraft in the background.

We drove through a small town filling with shops.

“ I thought that gate was the entrance to the school?” Leo asked.

“ This is the town of Constellation.” Ebony explained.“ it won’t be on any maps and its Crescent Moon people mostly. There’s shops, restaurants, cafes even a church. Everything you’ll need for your year here.” Ebony concluded.

“ Years.” I corrected.

“ Whatever you said.”

We soon came to a grand gate but this one was open, and not covered in ivy.

“ Welcome girls,” Ebony said, “ to Constellation School of Witchcraft.”

Leo and I both gasped in unison as she full beauty of the gothic, medieval castle came into full view. It had two turrets at two different heights. At the very front was a massive wooden door and above that was a stained glass window at twice the width. It seemed to go back forever. I thought of endless corridors and classrooms the size of houses. All the windows were old and tall. The castle was frightening, fascinating. It was my home for the next two years.

Around the edge of the castle was thick forest. Jem’s words came back to me.

“ I’ll always be at the Edge.” I shook thoughts of Jem away.
