*Alex's POV*

Waking up to her lying so close to me was like dying and waking up in heaven. She was an angel and she was so close to me. I saw the way her eyes shifted behind her eyelids and was aware of every movement the hair on her scalp made as she breathed in and out. This exact moment will never repeat. Her hair will never be in the exact same place again. I tried capturing everything. I wanted to have this moment forever. She was beautiful. The type of beautiful that could break your heart with a single glance A subtle ding pulled me out of the trance she had me in. It was a message for May. A text from Tyler. Her phone was locked and she had no message preview. "Al-ex? Who was that?" I suppose the phone woke her up. "It's um..." I pretend to read her notification for the first time. "Tyler Joseph?" May immediately jumps up. "What does it say can you read it? Alex, what did he say?" May was all too ecstatic about this message from Tyler. "You don't have message previews, love." "Oh, right. Never mind."

*May's POV*

Waking up to a text from Tyler was a harsh reminder of the mess I'd made. "Hey, babe, I think I have to get home. I better check on my mom." Alex's mom had been sick for months now and he hasn't stopped worrying since then. "Um, yeah. Tell her I said hey." Alex kisses me then leaves.

Hey, May, um I was wondering if you'd maybe want to get lunch, please? If you can't or you don't want to uhh that's okay but I'd like to see you. |Tyler

I'd gotten myself into a mess bigger than I can handle. I texted back with a time and place, got ready, and left my apartment.

*Tyler's POV*

Play it cool. Play it cool. "May, I'm so glad you're here!" Damn. "Hey, Tyler!" I get up and greet her with a hug. "So you wanted to see me or talk or something?" May asked. "Um, well, yeah. Just wanted to see you mostly" "Well, here I am." Something about her seemed nonchalant today. "May, I think I..." was I really ready to say it? "You think you what?" May had hardly been paying attention. "I.. um... I wrote this new song. I wanted to get your input on it." Abort mission, abort mission. "You wanna show me the song here? In a Panera?" "Um, well no actually I wanted to show you in a place that's very special to me. I want to take you but you need to trust me, okay?" May nodded. I drove her to my house. "Is anyone home?" I yelled out. "Great, house is empty." I said. "Um, is this the part where you confess that you're a serial killer? If it is you have to be fair and give me at least a five second head start." May said. "Ha. Ha. Ha." I sarcastically replied. "I wanted to take you to the basement to show you some twenty one pilots memorabilia but I guess not." I teased. "Show me, show me, show me!" "Right this way." I led her downstairs and showed her my mini studio in my basement. "Alright and if you look to your right you have the computer that started it all. Features include: first documented twenty one pilots songs... and... that's about the only important thing on here." She started to chuckle like a child. "Let me hear!" she reached out for my laptop and grabbed it. "You think you're so clever but it's password protected so joke's on you!" I decided to give her a tickle attack until she'd put it down. "Stop! Oh my god! Tyler, no hahahaha oh my gosh! Aahahaha" "Surrender the computer at once!" I yelled in a deep tone voice. "Okay! Here!! No one cares anyway ahaha" She stuck her tongue out at me and ran from me. "What'd you say?! Oh no no no I'm gonna getcha!" I caught her and slammed her onto the couch and started tickling her. "Take it back!" I threatened. "Hahahaha nev-er haahaha stop!" "Not until you take it back!" I said. "Okay I take it back!" she surrendered. "Much better now isn't it?" "Yes, much." I sat beside her on the couch. "So you wanna see some exclusive, prehistoric twenty one pilots footage?" I asked while opening the laptop. "Do I ever! Yes!" she exclaimed. About 5 videos in she started to rest her head on my shoulder. We trailed off and watched a variety of different youtube videos and read weird fan fiction. Hours later, she fell asleep on my shoulder. I powered off my computer and let her rest on me for about an hour. After a while I realized she wasn't waking up anytime soon so I laid her down beside me and tucked us into some blankets fresh out of the dryer. I kissed her forehead and finally confessed in a whisper, "I think I love you".
