*Tyler's POV*
It'd been three days. Since I met her. My favorite fan. No, not a fan. Just... my favorite.
'Hey is it okay if I call you?' I finally texted her.
'Yep!' she replied three minutes later.
I called her almost automatically.
"Hey!" I said with a loud smile.
"Hey, Tyler!" she said enthusiastically.
Listening to her voice was like discovering something I didn't know I needed so badly.
"Are you doing good?" the trembling in my voice was almost inevitable.
"I'm doing great!"  Her voice was almost as soft as the color of her eyes.
"Great enough for  dinner maybe?" I wondered.
"Tyler, you do know I have a boyfriend right?" she chuckled lightly under her words. Her boyfriend, of course! How could I be so stupid? She had a boyfriend. Okay, time for a plan B.
"Yes I am aware." I answered plainly.
"And you're asking me on a date? Oh my, I don't think that's appropriate" she sarcastically said.
"Well, not a date. Everyone's going." I explained in defense.
"Oh." she sounded less excited now. Of course I can never say the right things. I decided to save myself now she's upset.
"Uhh, yeah." I awkwardly broke silence.
"Okay. I guess I'll meet you guys there" the disappointment in her voice drained me out. In that moment her voice made me feel like I would spend all of myself on her well-being.
"Okay cool. It's the corner pizzeria by 5th street. You know the one?"
"Yeah, I know. I'll tell Alex and we'll meet you guys there." She brought him up on purpose I bet. I don't know if her intentions were hurting me but she did. I picked up my journal.
*May's POV*
Why was I at all disappointed that it wasn't a date? I have someone. Either way a charming boy whom is your hero doesn't just come around and ask you on a date. Why would he have any sort of interest in me? An hour passed. Perfect amount of time to get wasted in thought. Most of my thoughts then often revolved around him. The knocking coming from the front door pulled me out of my head. "You ready?" Alex picked me up and swept me off my feet. He gently pushed me against the wall and kissed my cheek. "Hey you're early!" I chuckled. "Couldn't wait to see you." he said between kisses. "Yes and in that case the guy would show up 10 minutes early and you're, well, 2 hours early." I told him with a smirk. "Okay you got me," he pulled away momentarily, " maybe I didn't just want to see you." His charm was quite irresistible and his words were almost so soft you could feel them. He traced my jawline with the back of his fingers and kissed me again. A kiss that vacuumed me deep back into the thought of him. Like somehow he knew I had been slipping recently. How could I think he was replaceable. His touch alone set me on fire. I was the wood, he was the match and our love was the flame.  "We should probably get going now" he said beneath his unsteady breath.

He opened the car door for me. "Hey" Tyler greeted us with a smile. There were only four of us at the table. It was Alex, Josh, and Tyler. "So what have we all been up to?" Josh started the conversation with the clap of a hand. "I've been writing a bit." Tyler and I said in unison.  I looked down and awkwardly reached for a sip of water. "Well, I've been practicing magic tricks!" Josh exclaimed in a child-like way. "I could show you guys!" He sprinted up from the table with two forks and a toothpick. "I'll be right back." he said. I told Alex to follow him to help and so he did. The table was now only two. Me and Tyler.
"Are you okay? You sounded kind of upset on the phone." Tyler brought back the phone call. One of which I have not had be that awkward since primary school.
*Tyler's POV*
Why did I bring that up? It's the perfect chance for her to say how much I've bothered her.
