Me and Lucas have been friends for a couple of weeks now, but I wish we would become something more than just friends. Everyone is becoming a couple why can't I have that.
"Riley go talk to him" Maya told me
"Noooo"
"Riley's you need to talk to him your not going to get anywhere if you don't talk to him" she told me
"I can't talk to him" I told her
" why can't you" she asked
"Because I'm ... I'm just to nerves"
"Riley don't be he's your best friend"
"I know but it just I don't want things to change between I don't what things to be awkward and I don't what is to not be able to talk to each other like we do now I don't want that"

"Let's just get to class" I said before she could finish her sentence

We walk to history Lucas starred to whisper to me
"Riley can we talk" he asked
"Ya"
"I wanted to ask you..." He started to say before my dad interrupted
"Riley whatcha talking about" my dad asked
"Dad it's nothing were just talking"
He turns my head to the front of the class

My dad is so over protective he does not want me to date. I mean he trust Lucas and all but he so protective and never lets us just talk. He know that it's the time of year that everyone starts paring off with each other and he's especially protective now he won't let Lucas even get near me. Ugh.
"Hey Riles" Lucas says
"Hey"
"Can we talk now" he asked
"Absolutely"
"I was wondering i...." My dad ran over and picked me up before he could finish his sentence again.
"Dad what is your problem"
"Your to young to date"
"You don't even know if he was going to ask me out maybe he just wanted to talk or hang out"
"Well well... Your to young"
"Bye dad"
I walk home with Maya. We arrived at the house an went straight to the bay window
"Why do you think Lucas won't talk to me" I asked her
"Probably because your dad keeps interrupting him and pulling you away"
"Why does he do that" I asked her
"Because your dad loves you and doesn't want you to grow up. And because he's your dad that's what they do"
"Life was so easy before boys"
*door bell rings*
"Who could that be" I asked
"I don't know" Maya said suspiciously
I ran down stairs to see who it was it was Lucas. My dad had answered they door and told him that I wasn't here even though he saw me. So mad dad slammed the door on him.
"DAD" I yelled
"Fine"
He opened the door.
"What do you want Lucas" he said
"I want to ask you for your permission to ask your daughter out"
"No"
"But sir you know I'm good I'm one of the best students you like me"
"Okay you have my permission" he said
"Riley..." Lucas asked
"YES" I exclaimed
"Can we talk"
"YES"
He and I waked up to my room and set in the bay window
"Don't worry Mr. Matthews I'll keep and eye on them." Maya said to him.
She walked up to my room and set on my bed.
"Riley would you like to do me the honors and go on a date with me"
"YYYYYAAAAAYYYYY"
Lucas giggle I was so happy we said and talked for a while before my dad came up to my room.
"Hey y'all okay"
"Yes dad" I told him
"Hey Lucas" he said
"I'm in your daughters room"
"Uh huh"
Lucas runs out ten window but my dad still gets one of his shoes like always. We now have a box of just one shoes that my dad has taken from Lucas.
I could not wait for our date.
