I awoke to my sister Brianna jumping on my and shouting 'Happy birthday' at the top of her lungs.
"Oh you're home." I stated in a sleepy voice.
"Yes, because I would most definitely miss my baby sister's eighteenth birthday." She said sarcastically as she got off of me.
"Well you missed last year." I reminded her.
"You know I had exams." She replies wearily. "Who makes a big deal out of seventeen anyway?"
"I guess you're right." I admit while stretching.
She smiles triumphantly before turning to me.
"Oh yeah, there's a huge box in the living room for you. If it's a TV, I'm taking it home with me." She declares while leaving me room.
"No you aren't." I state defensively as I get out of bed and go downstairs to investigate.
Upon reaching the base, I see a box the size of our kitchen table sitting in the middle of the living room floor. On top of it sat the most beautiful arrangement of flowers I've ever seen. To say I was shocked would be an understatement.
"Who are those from?" I heard Bri ask from the couch.
"I don't know yet. Hand me your keys." I say as I set the flowers on the coffee table. I turn around just in time to catch them before they hit my face.
"A warning would have been nice."
"You ask for my keys. You didn't ask for a warning." She replied smugly.
I rolled my eyes as I opened the box. My eyes widened as I brought my hand up to my mouth.
"Oh my God.." I say in shock.
"What is it?" She asked while standing.
I pulled out a Stitch plushie big enough to knock me off my feet."IT'S SO FLUFFY!!" I shout after hitting the carpet.
"It's also over half your size." My sister added while lifting the stuffed animal off of me.
"Well, I love it anyway."
"Liyah, there's more in the box." Bri said while leaning over one of its sides.
"There is?" I question while standing up.
"Yep. Like this sweatshirt." She says while pulling it out of the box. "And it smells like cologne too."
I take the sweatshirt in my hands and look at it. I feel like I've seen this before... I bring it up to my nose and inhale. It does smell good. I hold it away from my face and look at it one more time. That's when I realized where it was from. I had seen pictures of Rapmon wearing it. I smiled now knowing who this package was from.
"Is there anything else in the box?" I ask as I see her still leaned over the side
"A bunch of snacks and candy with Asian writing on the labels." Bri answered.
"Food?" I ask as I put the sweatshirt down and walk back over to the box.
As I take a look, I see a bunch of Korean candy, flavors of pocky I never knew existed, and a bunch of other stuff.
At the bottom of the box, I spot a white envelope. I opened it and pulled out a folded piece of paper with my name written on it. I unfolded it and began to read.
