Chapter 5

Taylor had been really quiet during the audition process, she really didn't understand how she could have hoped for Ed to like her, he obviously didn't mention his girlfriend because he didn't really considered Taylor a friend, the truth was that in Taylor's mind everything was a mess, she really thought that maybe today after yesterday's horrible date she could go out and eat with Ed, have a great laugh and she could clear out her thoughts about him. But certainly now with Ed's " friend" here they wouldn't go out and she would still be confused. Ed noticed that too, maybe getting Alison here wasn't the best idea, the silence was too awkward for him so he spoke first " how was the rest of you date?" Taylor thought for a minute, she didn't know if she should tell him or not " great, we are meeting later today" she cursed in her mind, that had slipped out, she really didn't think about it " oh! Ok. I though that maybe we could go out to eat, Alison too of course" fuck! Really,Ed? Alison too? was what went through her mind " well, let me talk to him first, maybe we can double date".About an hour later Alison came to the audition room " Ed, I'm going to buy some things while you two finish here" Ed turned to look at Alison, while also seeing that Taylor was looking at him like expecting him to say something " yeah sure, I'll call you if we finish earlier".

Alison had not come back, so Ed called her to tell her they were about to leave to the restaurant. Taylor had a master plan of telling him that Will couldn't join them so she would leave them, Ed and Alison, to eat alone. They both got into the elevator, waited nervously for it to start working, it was taking an awfully long time, finally it started to go down but a sharp noise was heard " what was that?" Ed looked around " I think that we got stuck" Taylor sighed " like this could get any worst" in that moment the lights went off " I didn't mean it" she said to no one " what we have left is to wait until the power gets back on ". Taylor sat on the elevator floor, Ed looked down at her " did you text Will? To let him know that we are stuck here" Taylor debated if she should tell him the truth " I will, let's hope that it's not really long". An hour passed, Alison had said that they had to wait until the power came back, both Ed and Taylor sat quietly, tension building both wanted to tell each other that everything was a lie, that. they really liked each other. Taylor was having second thoughts because Alison kept checking on him, but Ed got all his courage, Taylor had spaced out until she felt his soft warm lips on hers.

Time stood still, the tension previously felt had disappeared, Taylor was shocked at the same time content that one of the two of them took the first step but a buzz of his phone brought her back to reality, she was pulling away muttering " Alison" Ed took her head in his hands " forget about her" she really wanted to give in, but she would never be the other girl, that was just bad " no, we have to stop this. You've got a girlfriend" she was trying to pull away, she really was but his lips kept insisting, they weren't soft and gentle anymore, they were becoming more urgent and passionate. Butterfly's took flight in her stomach, Ed stopped kissing her only to kiss her forehead sweetly " I have been wanting to do this for a long time" Taylor's smile fluttered when the buzz of his phone remained her of Alison " but we have a problem, I'm not going to be the other girl" Ed's smile fluttered also, fucking Will, he was sure that Taylor wouldn't leave him " we have another problem, you got Will" Taylor got a fit of hysterical laughter " what?" Ed said in his cute British accent, Taylor kept laughing " is just that Will isn't my boyfriend! That was probably the worst date ever" Taylor kept laughing but this time Ed joined her. Taylor got quiet and shook her head " you can't dump Alison for me. That is just wrong" Ed got serious, she had been honest with him, he owed her, Ed went to kiss her again to get rejected by her, Ed sighed " Alison is my childhood friend, I invited her to the audition, I thought that I could get you attention in this way " Taylor got her lips closer to his " well it worked" she said as her lips came in contact with him and the elevator started to go down.
