"Hey, Hebbie," sneered a voice. Hebridean spun around, face to face with Musculier.
"Eeew! Don't talk to one of those slimy Slytherins!" exclaimed another Gryffindor.
"Hey, Mucus," another voice sneered. Krishna came by Hebridean's side, scowling at Musculier.
"Ooh, the only unclever Ravenclaw," laughed a Slytherin, coming to Hebridean's side.
"Lay off it, Max. Krishna's on our side," reproached Hebridean.
"Class, inside." Snape called over the bicker. Silence fell as the students trailed inside. "Partner up." Hebridean looked around, but everyone he knew had already teamed up. He felt a tugging on his sleeve, and turned around to a beckoning Magpie. He followed her to the desk furthest from Snape. "Today, you will make a Black Fire Potion. I expect you all to have a perfect potion between your partnerships by the end of the lesson. Go!" Hebridean went and grabbed the mushrooms, newt blood and wart cap. Magpie began brewing, sending him back to exchange the newt blood for salamander blood. He poured it in as the potion turned blue. He ground the wart cap, turning it into a slimy paste. With an eyebrow raised by an ever-onlooking Snape, he dumped it in the bin and tried again. In the end, Magpie needed to grind it for him.
DRING!!
Hebridean sloppily poured the potion in a bottle that had been pre-labelled with their names. Laying it on Snape's desk, he headed to the Ravenclaw common room to meet up with the rest.
