The audience cheered as Hebridean emerged from his hiding place. The dragon spun around, growling deep in its throat. It sharpened its claws with its flames, staring at the rock Hebridean held in his hand. It strode forward hissing with fury. The young, black haired boy raised his hand. The beast snorted. Did this challenger really think that he could just command a dragon to stop? It growled louder, flames dancing in its mouth. Hebridean gulped. He just hoped this worked. The dragon roared as he flung the stone, then went quiet. The stone flew up and hit the ceiling of the arena. Really? The dragon thought, He can't even aim?! The dragon advanced steadily, baring its shining teeth.

"L-l-look!" Hebridean stuttered, blasting another stone at the ceiling. The dragon glanced up. The boy stood, shaken to the bone as the audience murmured, perplexed. Then the dragon looked again. Way up high... he could see her. The dragon roared even louder. She was the one who had captured him! She was the one who had set students upon him and all of his kind in hope of his death! She was the one! The one who would now pay. "Wait!" The boy approached him cautiously, dreading every step closer. "The- the dragon p-p-prophecy! It says-" The dragon remembered the prophecy. One may not escape without another. One does not leave another behind. He stared at the tiny boy. Next thing Hebridean knew, he was on the dragon's back. The audience went wild. The students went wild. The now-healed other contestants went wild. The woman in charge went wild with fear. The dragon and Hebridean blasted out of the force-field. They spun into the position and, straight as an arrow, lunged away from the arena and straight into the bottom-centre of the woman's platform. She flew off, and within seconds, all the accomplices of the lady had deserted the site. Finally, the dragon dived into the entrance booth, smashing it to smithereens. Another dragon just like it flew out, finally breaking the spell that changed its voice. Dipping one last time into the bewitched booth, the other dragon announced, loud and clear;

"LOVE. SON. THANKS. BOY."
