FOR ISLA

You didn't want to go to this ball, that a few of your friends that have invited you to, but you thought at the same time it would be so outrageous if you didn't go. Even having a dress picked out, what's a use of a dress if you're not going to wear it?

Being a complete indie type vibe , was what really what sets you apart from all your other friends.

This masquerade, started in exactly 1 hour, and it takes half past an hour, to even get through the bizarre traffic.

Luckily, you all made it on time, and everything from the ball was majestic

You all ringed your arms with each other and entered gigantic atmosphere.

"C'mon Isla! There's food!!" One of your friends said, her name, Evelin? Lol, let's just say that. You all were a group of 4 and so the other two were amazed at another thing as so were you guys, You were pulled and hurried off to the long narrow table of all wonderful creations.

It took you about 2 hours for you to make her stop eating the food because she just loves.. everything about food. That's why you had to pull her out of the table, and make her sit down and she instantly becomes calm.

"Finally." you breathed.

She had her eyes balls glued the direction behind you. You craned your neck to her eye direction and saw why she finally calmed.

4 cute teens walked in the room, suit & ties making them irresistible, and dazzling faces making our eyes pop.

You had eyes on  the dark hair, punk rock type. They had 2 dark hair boys but the older looking one, oh boy, he's one piece of sexy shit, you would sit on that.

The other dark hair boy, that looked younger, looked like a more adorable puppy, which Evelin already had eyes on.

The music started and everyone put back their masks on, and the boys were no where to be seen.

In disappointment, you huffed while putting on your mask followed by Evelin.

"Great hotties, am I corrrect?" she inquired.

"Totally agreeing on you with that." You said, holding your drink up to your lips and tasting the fizzyness of the soda.

After we drank our drinks, you both entered the dance floor, awkwardly.

You can't just dance with nobody. And obviously, you want to dance with someone with experience other than Evelin, who will fall over her feet if someone asked her to dance.

Everyone had a partner, and you turned around to see, Evelin is not in sight.

/Shit/

You stepped forward to go back to the table you sat at, but a hand ringed around your wrist. The figure caught you but you couldn't make out who this person was.

"May I ask for your name?" The figure said, making his face more clearly and visible against the lighting.

Its the boy you saw earlier.

"Um-" you gulped and continued, "My name is Isla.." you said making your voice fade away.

"My name is Michael. Can I have a dance with you , Isla?" he asked.

Okay, Isla. Be cool.

"Why wouldn't I say yes?" you giggled. He pulled you over to his arms and found his way to your waist. You clenched your fingers together as they hanged on his neck , perfectly.

He spinned you, holding onto your tiny fingertips and making you come back to him. You felt the urge to not just dance, but still talk. But that wasn't what he wanted you thought.

When he spins once more, your back lightly hits his chest as your hands cross, joining his hands, which is wrapped around your waist.

He pulled you towards him, almost making his cheek touch your forehead. You heart skidded faster and faster as he touched his felt closer.

He turned his neck and gazed towards your eyes.

"Such pretty eyes you have. Blue and green..." He mumbled.

"very neat." he added.

You two stayed in this position for a couple of minutes, feeling the slow song going on, and he decided to turn you around so that you facing him.

He placed his hands on you hips and your were nearly close to his face. You felt your fingers tense up, on your nervousness, and he noticed.

"A little scared?" He said, worryingly

"Well, technically this might be-- my first dance, shall you say?" You spoke.

His eyes understood and he nodded.

"Ah, I understand. No need to worry. I don't bite." He winked.

You two laughed off. The next few minutes, you two were hitting it off , acting like complete goofballs around each other.

And that's how a beautiful friendship started out until a few years later, he realized friendship wasn't enough :**
