Well...today's the day.
I checked my Pokebook to see if there are greeters already.
Of course, most of these people just remembered my birthday thanks to Pokebook.
I politely replied to all the greetings, and I went downstairs.
It would have been nice if you-know-who sent me a greeting.
But...none.
I went downstairs and saw that a lot of people are already there.
Oh...and not to mention there are tables. There's even a buffet, some sounds, not to mention people dressed up.
There's even a table where all the gifts are, and there's even a stage and a projector showing some of my non-embarrassing photos.
I don't get it.
Why is this party like a debutante party?
"Misty." I heard Daisy whisper. "Why aren't you like dressed up yet?"
"Why is this like a debutante party?" I asked in a whisper.
"Don't blame me. Blame Mrs. Ketchum. Now put on your dress and we'll put some make-up on you." Daisy said as she dragged me to the dressing room, where my other sisters waited.
They fixed my hair and placed a seashell clip, which I thought looked nice. They then put numerous of cosmetics on my face.
They better not make me look like a monster.
Once they were done, I looked myself in the mirror.
I looked decent. The make-up was light. It looked natural.
"Misty, you look like a princess!" Violet exclaimed.
"Yeah, but of course by tomorrow this is all done." Lily added.
"Come on, Misty! Let's go show you to your guests!" Daisy said as she dragged me to the main hall.
As we got there, Daisy released me.
To be honest, I wanted to run away. There were too many people, and most of these people are the ones I met through Pokebook.
"Misty! Happy birthday!" A familiar voice from behind greeted. I turned out to see my favorite brunette.
"May!" I said as I gave her a hug. We have met only a few times, but she has become one of my closest friends.
When May released me from the hug, I saw a blue haired girl standing beside her.
"You must be Dawn. It's nice to finally meet you." I told the bluenette.
"Nice to meet you too, Misty." Dawn said. "And Happy Birthday! You look totally beautiful!"
"Uh...thanks. Truth be told, I'm freaking out." I replied.
"No need to worry, Misty. This day is going to be great!" Dawn affirmed.
Right...there's no need to worry.
"But isn't that the time we should be worried the most?" A familiar voice said.
"Brock!" I exclaimed as I gave my other best friend a hug.
"Hey there, birthday girl." Brock said as he hugged me back while gently stroking my hair.
He released me from the hug as he was about to say something, but he saw my sisters and immediately ran towards them.
Some things never change.
