I woke up this morning feeling really sick. I seriously feel so bad. I slowly got up from my bed and checked my phone. I saw a text from Bri.

Bri💕: Am I the only one feeling sick this morning?

Me: No not at all. I feel so horrible. I doubt my mom is gonna let me stay home. I kinda wanna see you and Cam anyway. 😌

Bri💕: you and Cam need to just go out already..

I just giggled at her text because I doubt it's going to happen. We're too close. I grabbed some ibuprofen from my medicine cabinet and got a water from my refrigerator and took the medicine hoping I feel better. I took a quick shower and started getting dressed. I did not feel like dressing up today so I slipped a pair of my Nike black sweatpants and a white long sleeve. I grabbed a black scarf because it's really cold outside and I put on my black Roshe's. I put my hair into a messy bun and I quickly brushed my teeth. Today was a 'no makeup' day. I grabbed my book bag and went into the kitchen and waited for my mom. About 5 minutes later we walked out and left.

"Do you work tonight?" I asked my mom.

"Yeah I work from 9 to 9. I had to pick up an extra shift." I just nodded.

"Is it okay if Cam comes over after school to chill?"

"Yes of course. Cameron is a nice boy." She smiled and winked at me. Oh no. We pulled up to my school and I got out and kissed her goodbye. I walked into school and basically it was the same routine as yesterday. I put my books in my locker and I heard Cam laugh from behind me with his friends.

"Hi what's up?"

"You look really sick.. You should have stayed home today."

"I look that bad holy crap! I didn't wanna stay home. One reason being we're hanging out today and I just wanted to see you and Bri today. I'm fine." He just nodded and with that we were off to math. Class started finally and it was going really slow.

"Today you have a packet that's due by the end of class. I will let you work with another but no goofing off. Use your time wisely because late work will not be accepted!" Mrs. Stevens had said. I looked at Cam and he was looking at me. I just laughed because we both knew we wanted to work with each other. We started working on the packet and pretty soon we were finished. Just in time. The bell rang signalling class is over. We turned our packets in upfront and walked out.

"What's planned for tonight?" I was confused when he asked me this.

"I mean movies and snacks like always or something else?" I felt stupid. I laughed at his question.

"You know what.. Let's do something different. Video games and snacks it is."

"You know me so well." I laughed and hugged him goodbye. I walked to my English class and sat down in my chair. I noticed that Trey was in this period as well. He sat next to me for the day.

"Hey Ari." I heard him say.

"Hi Trey, what's up?"

"Not much. You look sick are you okay?" He responded.

"Do I really look that bad? I'm starting to feel a little better. Thanks though!" He nodded and smiled at me. He has a cute smile. I like English a lot so I payed attention. We are doing this project and we have to write a story based on 2 characters. This should be fun! Finally English was out and it was time for lunch. I was really hungry. Today was burger and fries day which I was excited about. I saw Cam and everyone else in line and I walked over to them and started making conversation.

"So my birthday is coming up in a week." I said getting excited.

"I know. What do you want for your birthday?" Bri asked.

I handed her a list of small cheap things and she smiled and nodded. We grabbed our lunch and sat down. Today Cam didn't sit with us. I found that weird and I even got a little jealous because he was sitting with some girls. I just continued to eat my lunch like nothing was wrong.

"I have loads of homework and I feel like I'm gonna die. Literally!" Bri said laughing a little.

"Yeah me too. I miss Jay a lot and my mom constantly works so I'm always home by myself. I need to call him." I said. I decided to text him.

Me: Hey Jay. I hope you're doing well. I miss you tons. Things are different and quiet at home. Now that you're gone, mom is constantly working. I hope to see you soon though. I'm gonna call you later. Love you!!

Minutes later I received a text back from Jay.

Jay 😎: Hey Aria. I miss you and mom both. I'm doing okay and I hope you are too. I should see you guys soon. Very soon. Maybe around your birthday!! But okay. I'm looking forward to it. Love you too little sis.

I smiled and his text. I heard the bell ring through my ears signalling that lunch was over. I then headed to my next class. The rest of the day went pretty quick and I'm glad I was feeling better. Cam came over to my locker and I instantly remembered lunch.

"Hey so why didn't you sit with us at lunch like you normally do?"

"I just thought I would sit with my girl?" Girl? Since when did he have a girl?

"Oh really? What's her name?" I questioned just being curious while putting everything in my bag.

"Alexa. I really like her. She's pretty coo." I just nodded. Alexa is a pretty girl. I'm not jealous at all. Just kidding I am. It's weird. I can't have any type of feelings for him. He's just my best friend.

"I'm happy for you!! Are we still hanging today or?"

"Of course Aria. And yes Alexa does know and she doesn't mind at all." I would never let my boyfriend hangout with my best friend. Especially if she could potentially have feelings for him, but no one knows that part. So I just nodded and we started walking to my apartment. We walked in silence which was fine with me. Within minutes we were home and I unlocked the door and say my stuff down. 

"You make snacks and pick video games that we're gonna play and I'm going to go change my shirt." I said to Cam. He smiled and nodded. I went and changed into one of Jay's shirts and it still has his scent lingering on its material. I sighed and grabbed my phone and my charger and went into the living room. 

"Okay so I got snacks and here's a controller and first we're gonna play 2k." He knows 2k is my favorite  so I smiled and took the controller. 

*hours later* 

I look at the clock and it was around 8 at night. You could see the city lights outside my apartment. I hear Cameron's voice. 

"Even though I have a girlfriend Ari, that doesn't mean that we're gonna stop hanging and talking. I would never do that to you. So if that's what you're worried about then please stop worrying." I sighed and shook my head. 

"I know I wouldn't let that happen ever." He stood up to hug me goodbye and then he was gone. I called Jay and he didn't answer. He's probably asleep so I'll try him tomorrow. I then retreated to my bedroom and decided to lay down and listen to music. I felt my eyes getting heavy and I was out with thoughts still swarming my head.
