*Monday Morning*

I hear my alarm go off and I quickly got up forgetting that I had school today. I walk over to find Bri already awake and watching tv.

"You're up and ready already?"

"Yup." She responded popping her 'p'. I nodded.

"Well I'm gonna go get in the shower. Text me if you need anything." She just nodded. I walked over to the bathroom and showered. I just took a quick one and got ready. Today I decide on a Victoria Secret's PINK shirt and a pair of black leggings with my Sperries. I put my hair in a tight bun. Hopefully it won't give me a headache. I walked to the kitchen to grab a snack and OJ before we left. Next thing we know we're out the door and in the car.

"How are you feeling Brianna?" My mom asked, breaking the comfortable silence that was among us.

"I'm feeling better. Today is a brand new day an I gotta make the best out of it." Bri replied with a small smile.

"Always." My mom responded. About 10 minutes later we pulled up to school and we said our goodbyes. Hopefully today is a good day for all of us. We walked in and I walked straight to my locker. I feel a presence next me and its not familiar. I look over and see its Cam's girlfriend Alexia.

"Hi. Is there something you need?" I asked her, trying to be nice.

"I need you to stay away from Cameron. I know you have feelings for him so stay away from my boyfriend or there will be problems." I didn't feel threatened at all to be honest. I laugh a little.

"I guess so." I said with a chuckle. With that I walked to my first period and Cam was already in there. I should probably do what Alexia said because I don't want Cam to be unhappy and them break up because of me. Most of the period consisted of small talk and I tried to keep my distance.

"Hangout tomorrow?" He asked me. As much as I wanted to, I couldn't and it's gonna suck to tell him no.

"Uh tomorrow I'm busy." I said making no type of contact. He knows when I'm lying.

"You're lying. What's up with you?" He asked impulsively.

"Nothing, I am busy tomorrow. I have things to take care of." And with that I picked up my things as the bell rang and walked away to my next classes. The day went by pretty quickly which I was happy about. I was glad to be going home. I found Bri standing my the doors.

"Ready to go? We can go Taco Bell before we go home if you want." I suggested.

"Sure why not." She replied with a smile. I'm glad she's better about everything. We were walking for what seemed like hours and finally we were inside of Taco Bell. I ordered a beef quesaritto and a Baja Blast and Brianna ordered a steak quesadilla and a Baja Blast. Our food was ready so I went to grab it and we sat down.

"So Alexia, Cam's new girl came up to me today. She was like "I need to stay away from my boyfriend because I know you like him" and all that stuff. So now I'm keeping my distance and he's starting to notice and now Cam is really mad at me. I feel bad but I just want him to be happy and apparently she makes him happy." I said, venting to my best friend.

She scoffs. "Cameron can do so much better. I think he knows that. Alexia knows that. You know that. His friends know that. I don't think they're going to last. You are better for Cameron." She replied genuinely. I smile at her. She knows exactly where I'm coming from. We finish up our food and head home.

"Hi mom how was work?" I asked greeting my mom as I walked in.

"Work was work. How was school for you girls?" She asked, directing the question at Bri and I.

"School was school." We replied at the same time. We laughed and headed to my room. I turned on A$AP Rocky and we started doing our homework. About 20 minutes in I heard my phone go off. It was a text from Cameron.

Cam😎❤️: I broke up with alexia.

Me: why? you guys were cute..

Cam😎❤️: when she told me what she said to you I flipped out and broke up with her. she's trying to keep u away from me and I didn't like that.

Me: you really didn't have to do that. I wanted you to be happy.

Cam😎❤️: you make me happy.

And that's how our text went. Flirting. It honestly made me happy. I showed Bri the messages.

"He's so into you." I shrugged. Maybe she's right. I told her goodnight and then I received another message from Cameron.

Cam😎❤️: so wanna rethink hanging out tomorrow?

Me: yes we can hangout tomorrow. your place tho and Bri is coming.

Cam😎❤️: okay I'll invite Trey then.

I laughed and I put my phone on the charge and sleep had already taken over me. Today was a decent day.
