The citizens screamed as they saw the dragon heading closer and the police quickly herded them away when the King appeared, "WIZARDS OF THE GRAND MAGIC GAMES! I the king beg that you and your guilds please fight and save our kingdom!" Two guards started to carry him to safety. "Please!"

Natsu stepped into the centre of the arena, "EVERYONE! WE MUST FIGHT THIS ENEMY! NOT JUST FOR THIS KINGDOM! BUT FOR OUR HONOUR!" Everyone roared happily in response while Erza walked into the middle to join him," Blue Pegasus and Quatro Cerberus! You help the citizens get to safety! Mermaid Heel and Lamia Scale! You guard the borders from more intruders! Sabertooth! You spread out through out the city!" As everyone ran off Erza turned to her own guild "As for us.. we'll be going to fight against the dragon and the wizard.."

The guild ran through the streets of Crocus until they found it, the dragon and the wizard, Acnologia and Zeref. "Welcome fairies.. To your worst nightmare" Zeref gestured to Acnologia who blasted nearly most of the guild away in one wing flap. "NOO!" Wendy screamed at him. "You could have hurt them!" Zeref walks up to her and forces her chin up to look at him. "That's the idea you little brat, now go, run off and heal them!" Wendy was petrified, too scared to move and was frozen with fear. "I SAID GO!" He pulled his fist back ready to punch her when Carla picked her up and flew her away. As this was occurring Gray had tried to sneak behind Zeref when Acnologia shot a ball of plasma at him. Luckily Gray, managed to block some of the attack but he was still hurt and collapsed to the ground, "GRAY-SAMA!" Juvia shouted. She ran up to him, "Gray-Sama is still alive but he is very hurt! Juvia shall take him to Wendy-San!" Juvia ran off while Zeref wrinkled his nose in disgust. "Such a weak guild"

"Gajeel and Natsu, Take Acnologia, me and Lucy will get this piece of dirt" Erza requiped into Heavens Wheel Armour while Lucy got her keys at the ready. "Got it!" The dragon slayers roared in response.

The boys kept attacking Acnologia with all their might but he didn't even flinch. They worried they were going to run out of magic power but they soldiered on. With each attack the dragon slaying duo were hit, scratched, pounded, plasma ball attacked...but they wouldn't give up.

A voice appeared in Gajeel's head "Come back to the dark side... It's the best way to live..." Gajeel shook his head "I won't fall for your tricks..."

"Come to the dark side... We need a strong man like you, Come to the dark side Redfox... If you stay with these scum you will surely lose"

"NO! These are my COMRADES! I left my evil past behind me. In my Phantom Lord days I may have given in by now but I'm a Fairy Tail wizard now, even if you beat me up now, my heart won't break that easily!" Gajeel held his hands against his head, he chased the voice away.  As he did so a voice from far away whispered "Anyone who is loyal and can protect their comrades, can become a Fairy Tail wizard, everyone has darkness inside, but it's our actions that decide our fate. Never let your past experiences harm your future, your past can't be altered and your future doesn't deserve the punishment. This man, he is one who respects his comrades..."

"IRON DRAGON ROAR!" Iron shavings fly out of Gajeel's mouth

SCRATCH

"FIRE DRAGON ROAR" Fire spews out of Natsu's mouth

PLASMA ATTACK

"IRON DRAGON FIST" Gajeel keeps clubbing Acnologia

PUNCHED

"FIRE DRAGON IRON FIST!" Natsu punches Acnologia with his fist set on fire

WING GUST    They flew backwards, blood from their wounds landing on the ground like the teardrops of defeat. (A/N OMG THAT'S AN AWESOME SIMILIE!!)

They landed on the ground panting when Gajeel held his hand out to Natsu. "What are you doing Metal Head? Are you proposing or something?"

"Baka...There's only one way we can incapacitate this guy... with a Unison Raid. I'm nearly out of power and there's no metal nearby so we only have one shot."

"You got it Nail Head!"

"Stop calling me names!"

They held hands and together shouted "UNISON RAID: BURNING IRON ATTACK!" Suddenly fiery iron rods appeared from nowhere and jabbed the dragon, causing him to roar in pain and when he tried to move to counter attack his burns hurt him to move. Gajeel then created an iron cage of the mouth. "I'll keep his jaw closed as long as I can! Go help the girls" Natsu nodded and ran to the girls. They were both on the ground panting as Zeref easily made Scorpio disappear by flicking a finger and letting darkness swallow him. Zeref walked up to the trio and sneered at them. "Is that all you've got?" He clicked his fingers and made shadows eat up Gajeel and Erza. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING? WHERE ARE THEY?" Natsu shouted "They are fine. They will wake up at your guild in a few hours." Zeref looked down at Lucy on the floor covered in scratches and bruises and blood trickled from her lip. In her hand was Loki's key, she tried waving it and mumbling words but she didn't have the energy and dropped the key. "She... is the worst of all. So weak..."

"DON'T TALK ABOUT LUCY LIKE THAT! She... She's the strongest of all of us really, no matter what happens, she keeps on trying, she never gives up. She will fight to the bitter end. She would die for us, any of us. She's not just a good wizard either, she's an amazing person" He starts to smile as he looks at her "She's an amazing cook, she's always up for a laugh, she always cheers me up, she's really smart, she's an a amazing singer and just seeing her brightens up my day..."

Zeref looked at Natsu for a second then smirked "You like her don't you?"

"Wha- er... no..." He lightly blushes but covers it up quickly.

"Oh really? So you wouldn't mind if I did this?" He made her float in the air and waved a hand to Acnologia, with nothing to keep his mouth closed he roared a plasma ball straight at Lucy who screamed in agony before dropping to the ground and slowly closing her eyes.

"LUCY! NO! No... LUCY!" He ran up to her and kneeled by her side. "You're going to be okay Luce..." He turned to Zeref. "How dare you hurt Lucy!"

"I do what I want. Anyway, little brother, you're just a dead body. What are you going to do?" He laughs maniacally. "I came here to fight strong wizards..." He scoffs as he sees Lucy lying on the ground "but this is just pathetic. I'll be back soon, to fight a real wizard" He mounts Acnologia and flies away.

"Little Brother?.. Dead body?.... What's that meant to mean?"
