It was a week after the incident with Zeref and Acnologia and everyone had returned to the guild, and was fine after the hard work of Wendy and Porlyusica. Natsu casually strolled in to the infirmary...

***FLASHBACK***

Zeref and Acnologia flew away and Natsu dropped to Lucy's side. Luce... Lucy! Oh God, I have to find Wendy or Chelia!" He picks up her limp body and runs. All he feel is the need, the need to get her to safety, he looks down at her, her golden curls resting delicately over her face. As he watched the wind blow her hair over her face, he stared at her. "You're not weak Luce...No matter what anyone says, you're gonna make it through it this" Suddenly Natsu saw a flash of pink hair. Chelia? He stopped in his tracks to see and elderly lady towering over him. "Porlyusica! I need your help, Lucy, she was hit with a plasma ball, a full on attack!" Porlyusica reached out to take Lucy and Natsu reluctantly handed her over to Porlyusica. "Hm...she is very cold, and her heartbeat seems slower than usual, she seems to have a broken leg a possible sprained arm but she can be saved. I shall take her to the guild and start the medical treatment" Without waiting for answer she disappeared. "Good for her, she learnt that teleporting magic" Natsu jumped as a voice was heard from behind him, he turned to see Alzack standing behind him. "Hi Alzack"

"Hey Natsu, Is Lucy okay?"

"I-I-I honestly don't know... She was attacked, full on by a plasma ball.."

"Oh, god.. Natsu.." He rests a hand on his shoulder " She's gonna be okay, she's a fighter remember?"

Natsu looked up at Alzack "Thanks mate," They do a quick bro-hug and walk back to the the town square where the rest of the guild is.

As Natsu arrives at the group he fills them in on the details of the battle with Zeref, they all worry for Erza, Gajeel and Lucy but know that Porlyusica will be back at the guild helping them all

"Lu-chan....Gajeel-kun..." Levy sits quietly on her own and Jet and Droy race up to her.

"She wants me to comfort her!"

"NO! She wants me to comfort her!" Levy sighs and walks away without the duo even noticing." The whole guild was silent that night as they sat in their respective houses back in Magnolia. Natsu worried for Lucy, he had been banned from seeing her as everyone knew how he would feel if he saw her so badly hurt. He would blame it on himself, but he didn't need to see her to do that. He lay on his bed facing the ceiling where he had stuck picture of him, Lucy and Happy having fun at the beach. URGH! This is all my fault! I should have worked harder to protect her! Happy looked at him sadly. I'd best leave him alone...poor Natshu...

The next day

Happy was woken up by the ground shaking "NATSHUU! IT'S THE TITANS! Wait..wrong fandom.." Suddenly Natsu jumped in front of him. "C'mon Happy! The guild's open! We can go see Lucy!"

"Aye Sir!" Happy tied his bag on his back and within seconds they were out of the house and racing down the street. They arrived at the guild and with no one except Mira and Wendy they let themselves into the infirmary. Natsu gasped as he stepped into the room, on the right, Erza and Gajeel were attached to machines that were slowly extracting dark magic from their veins as he turned to the left he saw Lucy, his Lucy, covered in bandages with scratches still covering her face. He looked at her and started to smile. She may be covered in bandages but she was alive....

***END OF FLASHBACK***

So where were we? Oh yeah! Natsu strolls into the infirmary. "Hey guys! How ya doin'?"

Wendy bounds up to Natsu with a smile on her face "Great news Natsu-San!"

"Oh Really?"

"Yep! Lucy-san is finally allowed to go home!" As if on cue Lucy walks, well hobbles into the room on crutches.

Lucy looked at Wendy at stuck out her leg "Wendy... Do I really need these? My leg is okay now!"

"YAAAASSS! We've been through this already! You need to keep all weight off your leg until at least tomorrow" Lucy sighs and turns her head to see Natsu.

"Konichiwa Natsu!" She hobbles over to him. "I'm never gonna get the hang of these things!" She starts to laugh when Natsu picks her up. "KYAAAA!" Her crutches land on the floor with a CLANG. "NATSU DRAGNEEL! PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW!!" Erza, Gajeel and Wendy laugh at him. Typical Natsu! Always doing anything to help Lucy! Erza thinks.

"Nope! You're so slow, I'll just carry you home!" He smiled one of his famous Natsu smiles and Lucy blushes slightly. Stop blushing baka! Natsu likes Lisanna. He only sees me as a friend... Without another word Natsu walks out of the guild infirmary with a very annoyed Lucy trying to slap him in the face while Natsu laughs and dodges each one.

At Lucy's house Natsu lays her down on her bed. "Now rest that leg like Wendy said. I'll make us some food!" Natsu starts to walk in to her kitchen.

"NO NATSU! I don't trust you with kitchens..."

"Heh.. I guess you have a point. I'll order us takeaway!"

"No Natsu. I kinda have some stuff to... think about" Natsu tilted his head and looked at her confused. This wasn't like Lucy. She loved him around when she was ill or injured. "Are you all right Luce?"

"I'M FINE OKAY?"

"Oh... okay..." Reluctantly Natsu jumped out the window leaving Lucy's house silent.

I'm sorry Natsu... If only I wasn't worried about it... Maybe I'll talk to Levy-chan tomorrow... She may be able to understand what is going on. Lucy lays back and looks at her ceiling where she had picture of her, Natsu and Happy having fun at the beach. (A/N Aww! They both have the picture on their ceiling above their bed!)

Natsu was walking back to the guild scraping his feet on the ground. What's up with Luce? She seems like somethings troubling her but she said she was fine! He sighs and heads back to the guild.

"YO MIRA!" A drunken Wakaba shouts from one end of the guild hall. "MORE BEEEEEERS PLEASSSE"

"You are not having anymore! You need to stop hanging with Cana!"

"I PAYED MY MONEEYY"

"..." Mira transforms into his wife "WAKABA!" Wakaba starts to tremble in his seat. "No more alcoholic drinks!" Wakaba repeatedly nods his head,petrified. Mira giggles and walks away, turning back into her normal self. "Works every time!" She heads back to the bar to see Natsu on his own. "Hey Natsu! I thought you were at Lucy's with Happy?" Natsu shakes his head.

"Nah. Happy is off on a date with Carla and I think something's up with Lucy. She got really annoyed at me for no reason." He sighs. "She just seems... different..."
