Chapter 6

Jesse's pov 

I woke up to find an empty space beside me " she couldn't have left me for another man just yet" I joked with myself. 

As I peeled myself from the bed I glanced at the clock it read 7AM. It then dawned on me that the only place Sophia would be is with Caitlyn. I pushed the door open and saw Caitlyn lying with her head on Sophia's chest and Sophia with her head resting on Caitlyn's with her arms around her like a protective bear looking after her young. 

The sight instantly brought a smile to my face. I toyed with joining them in bed, or make breakfast. I carefully crept to the side of the bed that Sophia was currently on, and peeled back the duvet in an effort not to wake her and slowly eased myself beside her, I put my arm around her and Caitlyn and then planted a kiss on Sophia's head. She started to stir and woke with a smile and whispered 

"morning, how long have you been there for?".

"Not long" I whispered back.

I looked over to Caitlyn who was fast asleep and looked at Sophia and said 

"you know, I think this will work out" she whispered 

" I hope so" she turned and kissed me. 

From that moment I knew it was me Sophia and Caitlyn against the world, and nothing could break us apart.
