Michael woke up to the sound of muffled laughter. He quickly sat up in his bed and looked around. He was confused until he remembered where he was. His new home. He didn't even remember falling asleep. He glanced at the alarm clock on the side table next to his bed and noticed that it was almost noon.
He heard the laughter again. It sounded like it was coming from outside. He walked over to the sliding door and went out onto the balcony he didn't notice before. He looked down and saw Luke sitting on a trampoline with two other boys. He couldn't see them very well, since he was up higher, but he could tell that one looked Asian and the other had curly hair.
Michael sighed, going back inside and deciding to get dressed. He fell asleep in his clothes from yesterday and the skinny jeans were getting uncomfortable. He opened his closet door, seeing a variety of tops. Some of them looked like they were brand new while others looked like the might have belonged to someone before.
He grabbed a Nirvana shirt and moved on to the dresser with bottoms in it. He just grabbed the first pair of black skinny jeans he saw and changed quickly.
He examined himself in the full-body mirror on the back of his bedroom door and ran a hand through his red hair before venturing out of his room in search of a bathroom. He easily found it as its door was open and quickly brushed his teeth. He took a deep breath before finally going downstairs.

"So, Michael, how are you feeling? I know this is all sudden and different, but I'm trying my best to make sure you're comfortable," Liz said in a caring voice. They were eating lunch- or, breakfast, for Michael -and everyone kept trying to talk to him. Liz's other two sons, Ben and Jack, had joined them along with Luke's friends. He had learned that the not-actually-Asian one was Calum, aged sixteen, and the curly-haired one was Ashton, aged seventeen. He had also learned that Luke was fifteen, only a year younger than Michael.
"I'm fine, thanks," he said with a forced smile. Liz nodded and cleaned up everyone's plates.
"Well, how about you go spend some time with the boys?" Luke nodded enthusiastically and grabbed Michael's arm, practically dragging him up to his room with Ashton and Calum following close behind.
Once they reached Luke's room, Michael stared in shock. He definitely wasn't expecting this.
