IN LUST

Chapter Three

When they were done, Liam has somewhere to go so he sent her home. She didn't have a hangover but she did feel odd. Her heart was pounding hard and she was glowing but she didn't smile. Her eyes were big but you can see where her tears dripped down. When she got home her roommates were so curious about what happened. For the first time since her mother's death she didn't know what to say and how to say it.
     "So, who was the sexy man you were with?" Penny asked enthusiastically.
Lorena replied shamefully,

 "Liam, my professor's intern..." She then covered her face and slowly let herself fall onto the couch.

 "Lolo! You're mixing education with pleasure?! I thought you were waiting until you marry the right man who is worthy of your time and body, remember?" Violet asked with a judgmental tone. Lorena didn't mind that one of her best friends judged her for her action because she knew it was wrong. "I thought so too..." Lorena said looking down at her necklace that was given to her from her mom before she passed away. The unexplainable feeling Lorena had would not go away.
     It was dead silent for about 5 minutes then the cake Violet and Penny baked was finished. As the girls all helped each other clean the kitchen, Penny and Violet gave each other the look people give when they need to talk amongst themselves. Lorena was done doing her job so she went into her room and cried herself to sleep. Vi and Penny went out onto the balcony to smoke cigarettes and discuss Lorena's situation. "I honestly don't understand what's going on. I don't understand why she did it, sex was a big deal to her and then this attractive guy with some similar hobbies comes along and she just changes her mind just like that?" Violet assumed. "Vi, we're all young and curious, she didn't do nothing seriously wrong just had a different kind of fun." Penny replied.
     When Lorena woke up, she decided to dress casual to school today, as in a baseball tee, pants and converse. She also had her hair tied in a ponytail.
The moment she walked into her class, the vibe between Liam and her was awkward. Twenty minutes has passed. Liam goes up to Lorena and whispers into her ear, "You did great the other night" and rubs his hand on her back whilst no one is looking. Lorena suddenly gets the chills. She doesn't understand what she's feeling so she avoids him for the rest of the class.
The professor let everyone leave early. As she is walking towards the parking lot from her building, Liam grabs her from behind, takes her into an empty science class that is under construction and locks the door.
    "You think you can just make love to me and then avoid me?! You better apologize to me! You're not the shit bitch!" Liam yells at Lorena whilst holding onto her so tight. Lolo is scared and confused. "Please stop, you're hurting me." She begged as tears began running down her freckled cheeks. Liam wouldn't let her go. She tried to push him off but that only made him stronger. He aggressively dragged his hands all over her body with her back against a table.

          That afternoon Lorena ended up with bruises on her stomach and bloody teeth marks on her shoulders and thighs. She was ashamed of herself once again and she just had to forget about it. Luckily Nate invited her to hang out with him and his friends at a house party. Of course she accepted the invite because who wouldn't want to spend a few hours with a cool, funny guy that gives you butterflies and goosebumps whenever your skin touches his unintentionally, right?
     The party was just like any normal college party. The music was playing loud but you can still hear yourself and others speak almost clearly. Red, yellow and dark green lights were flashing everywhere. The house was hot boxed, the smell of marijuana filled the whole house and outside. Everywhere she looked Lorena was freaked out by the students being so close together when they dirty dance and make out.
    Nate and Lorena smoked and then relaxed with his two guy friends and their girlfriends in the kitchen. Lorena had an amazing time, made new friends and what not. But the moment Nate dropped her off at her apartment, she ended up sobbing and confessing to him what had happened with Liam. Nate promised to stay with Lorena from the morning to after class to protect her.

      He didn't tell her he has been keeping an eye out for her this whole time since he saw her in class the day they made eye contact when he was at the bus stop. Eventually he will but he knows it's not the best time to. Lorena now feels that Nate does care for her. She hopes he's not like Liam in any way. "He's an asshole. You don't deserve to be treated this way." Nate said to Lorena as he holds her with both arms wrapped around her keeping her warm and safe.
