Chapter 18

I showed up to school around 5:55am and school starts at 8:55am so I'll be chilling by myself for a while so I decided to play my phone to pass the time Brett showed up at 8:20am I followed him to his locker "hey Bretty " I smiled "oh hey" he said ignoring me well I guess things are still weird "wanna hang out after school" I asked
"Sure we can catch up" he smiled he took some of his books out and we walked to roll all even though it's only 8:30am

"Nice shirt" I complemented, he smiled "yeah it's my favourite shirt my little sister picked it out" we made some small talk we were mates so it was easy and my wolf kept howling over and over to the point it was annoying it was going well until Brett asked if I was okay "sure why wouldn't I be" I said "it's just that i noticed your emotional state and you seem kinda down"

"Um well me and my mum had a fight this morning that's it" I'm not gonna tell him about my depression or that my pack was attacked and I was to much of crappy friend to help "are you sure that you are alright" he asked again and I simply nodded. We agreed to meet at lunch Brett already boosted my mood

I didn't have a class with him until last period so I guess I'll just have to put up with it until  I get to see him. I haven't seen any of my pack at school except for Kira stiles said they were hanging at his house and it is annoying

I should go speak with Kira and apologies to her to. I patiently waited at her locker until she turned up "hey Kira, look I heard about what happened with the pack and I am so s..." She interrupted me "save it Liam, it's not all your fault but we were counting on you being there last night just be there next time okay" she gave me a fake smile and left

"Liam it's not your fault we can just go see Brett okay he won't be mad at you like everyone else is" my wolf said, failing to comfort me. I grabbed my ice coffee and pizza slice that I bought from the cafeteria. Brett was already sitting down outside "Hey" I smiled "Hey" he greeted back I walked over to him when I tripped and fell, my entire tray of food fell on to him and he was soaked in coffee "LIAM" he shouted standing up as the drink dripped from his wet hair, down his cheeks and all over his shirt

"That was an accident, I'm so sorry" I said quickly grabbing some napkins and trying to dry him off "this was my favourite shirt and now it's ruined" I continued to wipe his shirt down when my eyes started to feel prickly. I was tearing up why in the hell am I crying "sorry" I said again Brett seemed to notice the crack in my voice "are you seriously crying" he asked "no" I said quickly, rubbing my eyes

"I have to go, again so sorry about the shirt" I went to the boys bathrooms and liked myself in the mirror "well done Liam you fucked yo everything" I said to my self "your just a fuck up that everyone has to put up with" I sneered at myself

"first you fuck over your pack and Hayden, disappoint your own mother and insult your father and now you are continuously fucking up your relationship with Brett" I punched the mirror as hard as I could jabbing some if the shards into must knuckles which hurt like a bitch

Maybe it would be best if I leave so everyone will be better off with out me. "Maybe we should go we don't do anything right anyway" my wolf agreed and that settled it. I am running away somewhere far it would be better for everyone If I was gone.

I didn't bother showing up to my last class. I went to my locker and grabbed some money and left I'm not even sure where I was walking but I just kept going walking through the forests there were a lot of flowers that hid my scent from any creature.
"Little kid I tried to kill were are you headed this deep in the forest" I turned to see Duke in the field holding Kevin, he looked so big and it was only a short amount of time "I'm leaving" I answered

"Leaving where?" He asked walking closer so we were face to face " I have done some shitty things so I just need to go away somewhere until everything dies down "you don't know where your heading" he asked as Kevin dribbled and babbled

"Not exactly, I thought I could just walk straight and hope for the best" I answered honestly "well I have a house not to far from here actually, you can come over and crash with Kevin and I until things die down"bye offered "is it that weird place you took me to" I asked "no, the place I took you was just an abandon building"

I accepted his offer and followed him home. Duke doesn't know how much of a fuck up I am so things will get better. His house looked welcoming it was in a meadow, it had circle Windows and a nice brown wooden door with white walls. The front yard was bright green with grass and he has some pink and blue flowers growing  "nice house" I complimented

"Thanks my mate designed it"he smiled opening the door.he showed me around and then to my room and I could tell I can pull myself back together her and at least I can't ruin my pack and families life here and I can also look after my son help him grow up even though Duke is technically his dad
