But wait... There's more! When you purchase one frozen Annabeth you also get a murderous humanoid blizzard for free!
It was difficult to see through all the sleet and the snow, but I didn't need eyes to see the thing that was out there. I could sense it gliding across the snow. I could feel what it felt, it's cold burning rage. It was coming.
"GET DOWN!" I warned.
As Sarah and I dropped to the ground a huge chuck of ice sailed over our heads, just missing Annabeth. The creature neared us and peering through the blizzard I could see an almost female figure now standing before us. A garment of snow swirled around it. Its arms still showed the rough, cracked surface of its skin but its eyes seemed to beckoned me with an unusually familiar warmth. Warmth? Huh? This did the seem right, but it felt right . The icy figure spoke with a piercing voice like a blade to glass, "winter's wrath trapped in endless sleep, with chaos waiting in the frozen deep, the son of four shall break prison and oath, and unleash a power greater than both."
The icy figure turned its attention back to Annabeth and it summoned another chunk of ice. As it prepared to send it straight towards Annabeth, time seemed to slow down and an overwhelming anger flooded my senses. With a loud cry I spread my hands out in front of me and the figure shattered into a million shards of ice. Then everything went black. When I woke up, I found myself in one of the infirmary beds with the tastes of cinnamon and icing and lingering in the back of my throat. My father would only ever make cinnamon rolls on my birthday and during christmas(Both of which weren't that far apart). I was vaguely aware of a heated argument going on nearby until it ended when Chiron came over to see me.
"How long was I out?" I asked.
"Only about an hour" Chiron answered. "You've made quite the recovery."
"Wh-what happened?"
"We're not sure but it was strong enough to shake the boundaries and make it snow in camp half-blood." He explained. "Both feats would have required great power. The kind of power a God has." He continued.
"But the gods would have no reason to attack us would they?" I asked hesitantly.
"Not that we know of," he replied. "But ever since-" he stopped himself.
"Ever since what?" I pressed in trying to get more information.
"It's nothing," he said. "However, it has come to my attention that you were somehow able to communicate with the creature that attacked you..."
"What do you mean?" I asked defensively. "I didn't speak to it, it spoke to me!"
"While that may be true," he said calmly. "Sarah said it was evident that you were connecting with whatever was attacking you."
At the mention of her name I suddenly wondered if I'd freaked her out so much that she'd avoid me for life. However, a loud and quirky voice soon pushed those worries aside. "Adam!" Yep, most definitely Sarah. "Oh my gods are you alright? How are you feeling? Did you see what happened? Well of course you saw, but omg it was so freaky it gave me chills! Or was that just the snow?"
Yep. Sarah.
As I sat up in my infirmary bed I could feel a slight twitch building up in my nose. "Ah-ah-aaahhh choooooooo!!!!!"
A northern wind blasted through the infirmary, forming crystals of snow and frost on the windows. I sighed in irritation as Sarah hugged herself tightly
"Well this is strange even for demigod standards!" Chiron exclaimed. "The magical borders usually protect us from the elements as well as monsters."
"Is it possible that something's wrong with the tree?" Sarah asked, still shaking.
"I'm not sure my dear." Chiron may have said that, but I could tell that something was definitely on his mind.
"Anyhow, get well soon Adam. Come one Sarah, let him get some rest."
I slumped back into the infirmary bed and sighed as the pair walked back into the snow. Before long, my eyes felt heavy and I was drifting off to sleep.
