Chapter 4: Amulet Chasers

(STAR'S POV)

I woke up to the sound of the shower running. I looked around and saw Marco was still asleep. I gently crept over him trying not to wake him up.

"Star, where are you going?"

"Just to get ready, you go back to sleep."

"No, you go back to sleep."

He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me onto the bed again, wrestling me down and sitting atop me.

"You don't look like you got enough sleep, you should go back to sleep."

"Fine, but only because in the mornings you are to adorable to argue with."

He walked outside the room. I heard him chat to Dipper but couldn't make out what they were saying. The I heard someone walk downstairs and someone go into the bathroom. I rolled over and thought about what we are doing today. I started to have doubts, but before the doubts could fully consume me, the door swung open. I etempted to cover up her underwear stricken body with the blanket.

"It's okay, its only me," Marco said with a smile. "Since when did you become this shy, I thought you loved showing people your underwear."

"Well, my body looks ugly in the morning."He crossed the floor and placed a tray of food beside me.

" You are never ugly." He kissed me softly on the forehead. "Now eat up, the rest of us are ready and eating the same as you. We need you with us so we can go hunt down that person who will give us powers."

He left the room as I ate my breakfast, I had a quick shower and walked out of the room. Everyone was downstairs waiting by the door. Marco walked over to me and took my hand as we walked out of the shack. My mind started to race, I slowed down so me and Marco were in the back of the group. "Marco, I was thinking. Mabel told me that you need to people who really care about each other for the spell to work. So, what would you do if the spell didn't work."

He kissed me again. "Star, do you love me."

"Yes."

"Then it will work."

Just then we arrived at a small cave. Dipper started to talk. "Ok, I have what you need, now you need to do something for us."

A voice game out of the cave. "Let me see it."

Dipper opened his hand and a small purple gem was in it.

The voice started again. "What is it you require."

"I need you to enchant our friends here."

"Come in then."

Me and Marco walked into the cave. Then the voice spoke again.

"Throw in the gem."

Dipper did as instructed and tossed the gem into the darkness.

The voice spoke one last time. "Now those who wish to be enchanted must join hands."

Me and Marco joined hands.

"Think about what you want to be enchanted."

Then, my amulet and Marco's signet ring started to glow. Then a string of lite shot out of each of our chests and rapped around our hands. Then the string faded and the amulet and ring stopped glowing.

The voice spoke in a booming voice. "The spell is complete."
